The 2023 World Series of Poker kicks off on May 30th, with two events kicking off the action at Paris and Horseshoe Las Vegas Casinos. The opening event is the traditional curtain-raiser to the festival, the $500 entry Casino Employees Event, which is a reward for hard-working staff members from around the world who help put poker tournaments on all year round.
In the opening week of the 2023 WSOP, there are a total of 11 events taking place and the pace is more than carried out through the series, which ends on July 18th. The event is concluded with the 95th and final event of the series, the $1,000 buy-in Super Turbo No Limit Hold’em event.
As always, most players will cast their eyes down the schedule to find the $10,000 WSOP Main Event, which last year awarded the winner, Norwegian Espen Jorstad, the $10 million top prize. This year’s Main Event kicks off on July 3rd and ends on the penultimate day of the festival, July 17th. If there’s a record number of entries in this year’s Main Event then the WSOP will award a lifetime of entries into the Main Event to one lucky entrant, with a raffle drawn to decide the winner of his unique prize.
Elsewhere on the schedule, favorites such as the $400-entry Colossus (June 30-July 4), $1,000 buy-in Ladies Championship (June 30-July 2) and $1,000-entry Tag Team (June 22-24) events all jostle for position among some big ticket majors, such as the $50,000 Poker Players Championship (Jun 18-22), $250,000 Super High Roller (June 16-18) and $100,000 High Roller (June 12-14).
Here’s the full schedule of events at the 54th Annual World Series of Poker in Las Vegas:
For those who’d rather play from the comfort of their own homes instead of braving the Vegas heat, there are 13 online events to choose from. This series runs alongside the main WSOP from June 5th to July 17th and can be accessed from the WSOP.com client, as long as you’re playing in Nevada.
There are also seven more events taking place online in either Michigan or Pennsylvania. If you’re in those territories, then you’ll want to play these events which take place from June 4th to July 16th and feature tournaments in No Limit Hold’em, Pot Limit Omaha and even includes Progressive Knockout (PKO) events!

The 2023 WSOP is back on its regular summer schedule and will run from May 29th to July 18th. There will also be a WSOP Europe which takes place later on in the year, and that will be running from October 13 to November 3.
An online series will run alongside the live events at this year’s WSOP. It will consist of 13 events, the first taking place on June 5 and the last taking place on July 17.
The Main Event is a freezeout tournament, which means that once you’re eliminated, you cannot re-enter or rebuy.
