When Does WSOP Paradise Kick Off?

“WSOP Paradise is the ultimate way to close out the poker calendar – combining world-class high-stakes competition with a luxury vacation.” ~ GGPoker Global Ambassador Daniel Negreanu.

The 2026 WSOP Paradise festival starts on December 2 and ends on December 17th, with 20 gold bracelet events taking place across just over a fortnight before Christmas. This year’s WSOP Paradise is slightly different to the previous iterations, with the WSOP Player of the Year race now including points earned in The Bahamas.

With players such as Shaun Deeb, Alex Foxen and Naoya Kihara all chasing the top prize of $100,000 and a player banner at the Horseshoe or Paris casinos, anyone finishing inside the top three will bank the six-figure prize for going close.

There are 20 WSOP bracelets up for grabs in The Bahamas as the Baha Mar Resort takes over hosting duties between December 2 and 17. The biggest event guarantee of the series is the $50,000,000 that will be in the $25,000-entry WSOP Paradise Super Main Event. Last year, the Austrian professional Bernhard Binder beat French player Jean-Noel Thorel heads-up to claim the $10,000,000 top prize and the bracelet everyone wanted to get their hands on.

“WSOP Paradise is the ultimate way to close out the poker calendar – combining world-class high-stakes competition with a luxury vacation experience at Baha Mar,” said the eight-time WSOP bracelet winner and GGPoker Global Ambassador Daniel Negreanu. “With $120 million guaranteed across 20 bracelet events, the $50 million Super Main Event, and the WSOP Player of the Year race coming down to the wire, the stakes have never been higher. I can’t wait to head to the Bahamas and play for a bracelet in paradise.”

Early Bird Packages the Latest Innovation

New for 2026 are two ‘Early Bird’ packages that are available to those players who are prepared to put their money down early. Firstly, the $100,000 Paradise Package gives players a 16-night stay from December 2-18 at the resort in a Baha Mar Deluxe Room. As the WSOP put it, players can ‘Play in Paradise, Live the Dream’, with the package requiring at least $100,000 in tournament buy-ins, which must include playing the Day 1a flight of the GGMillion$ event and Day 1a of the $15,000 Super Main Event Day.

Not happy with $100,000 of buy-ins? Players can upgrade with the $300,000 VIP Package (‘Play like a Pro, Enjoy like a VIP’) which upgrades your stay to a Baha Mar Suite, along with VIP Fast Track Meet at Gate on arrival, round-trip SUV transfers, and complimentary buffet access. A minimum $300,000 in tournament buy-ins are required, again including playing the Day 1a flights of the GGMillion$ and Super Main Events.

Any players who wish to take part in the promotion must deposit either $5,000 or $10,000 by October 31st depending on which package they are booking, with the dearer option available for the VIP Package only. Plenty of players will take up this offer, but others are expected to qualify online via GGPoker with WSOP Express step satellites taking place every day on GGPoker.

Other WSOP Events Taking Place in Paradise

With 20 events, there is something for everyone in The Bahamas this December. The biggest buy-in event isn’t the Super Main Event. In fact, the WSOP Invitational event is ten times as big, at least in buy-in terms. The Super High Roller in all but name costs $250,000 to play and has a huge $10,000,000 guarantee, meaning someone will become a millionaire by winning it.

There is a $100,000 Super High Roller taking place later in the series in Event #11, while at the other end of the scale, a $2,500-entry Circuit Championship Mystery Bounty event kicks off proceedings as the opening event on the schedule with a massive $5,000,000 guarantee attached to it. Event #14, the Double Board Bomb Pot PLO event, also costs $2,500 to enter and has a $1m guarantee.

The GGMillion$ No Limit Hold’em Championship is $10,000 to play, with the championship event having an incredible $20 million guaranteed prize pool. Event #19, The Closer, features a GGPoker Bounty Wheel and an entry fee of $5,000, while the final event of the series, Event #20, is called the ‘Last Chance in Paradise’ and takes place in NLHE with a $15,000 buy-in.

Poker fans can watch the action on the WSOP Paradise stream via the official WSOP YouTube channel from Dec 5 at 3.00pm Eastern Time. With legends and qualifiers sure to create fireworks, we can’t wait for the WSOP Paradise action to begin in The Bahamas in December.
