Tight Poker’s First Freeroll Gets Underway Oct. 19

The Oct. 19 tournament marks the first chance for the Tight Poker community to meet at the tables rather than just read about them.

It’s a multi-table No-Limit Texas Hold’em freeroll with $500 in Bitcoin prizes on the line. Players don’t pay a conventional cash buy-in. Instead, eligible verified users enter with a Weekly tournament ticket.

Seats are limited, too. Tight Poker’s weekly freerolls have a maximum field of 200 players, so having your account ready before registration opens is the sensible move.

$500 in Bitcoin Up for Grabs

There’s more than a tournament ticket at stake once the cards are in the air.

The first-place finisher receives $150 in Bitcoin, while second place earns $100 and third takes $75. Bitcoin prizes continue through 16th place, completing the $500 weekly prize pool.

Missing the cash doesn’t necessarily mean leaving empty-handed. Players who finish from 17th through 25th receive a Monthly tournament ticket, just like everyone who finishes higher up the leaderboard.

That ticket opens the door to Tight Poker’s $1,000 monthly championship, giving the final stages of the weekly freeroll two different bubbles to think about: getting paid and getting into the bigger event.

Expect a Fast No-Limit Hold’em Tournament

This isn’t built to be an all-night grind.

Players begin with 800 tournament chips, with opening blinds of 25/50. That’s only 16 big blinds from the first hand. Blind levels then increase every seven minutes, with the complete weekly event designed to run for roughly one to two hours.

That should create action quickly. There isn’t much room to spend an hour waiting for premium hands when the blinds keep moving every seven minutes.

The format is standard multi-table No-Limit Texas Hold’em. As players bust, tables consolidate until the remaining field reaches the final table and the first Tight Poker tournament champion is decided.

The Road to the $1,000 Monthly Championship

A top-25 finish also earns a ticket to Tight Poker’s $1,000 monthly championship, giving weekly players another tournament to aim for.

The monthly event brings qualified players back together for a bigger Bitcoin prize pool and another shot at taking down a Tight Poker title.

We’re excited to welcome players to the tables for our first tournament on Oct. 19 and to see the Tight Poker community compete together for the first time. Good luck, and we’ll see you at the tables.
