The casino industry in Las Vegas performed reasonably well in 2015 with both gaming and non-gaming markets experiencing positive growth. Gaming analysts predict that the market will continue to do well in 2016 and a number of casinos are investing into expanding their gaming and non-gaming offerings.
Wynn Las Vegas is one of those casinos who decided to open out a new and innovative poker room on the 26th of May 2016 and the man responsible for making sure that the new room is a success is Ryan Beauregard, who was recently hired to be the Director of Poker at the Wynn Las Vegas.
This new poker room will feature 28 new poker tables and will be spread across 8,600 square feet of gaming space. The poker room can be found adjacent to popular hotspots at the Wynn such as the Encore Beach Club, Encore Players Club and Surrender. The 28 new tables will come with USB ports that can be used to charge electronic devices such as smartphones. The poker room also comes with an individual Sports Book window, 30 x 65 inch television sets that will constantly stream real time sports and games and have restrooms making it very comfortable for poker players.
There will also be a special portion allotted to VIP gamblers who can play high stakes poker and give them a higher level of luxury and exclusivity. Beauregard states that the Wynn Resorts is investing heavily into technology and benefits to ensure that the poker room is a one of a kind poker room and providers poker players an experienced that consistently exceeds their expectations.
Beauregard took up his post as Director of Poker only a few months ago but is excited at the prospect of launching a new role and then rolling out programs that will establish it to be the best poker room on the strip. Beauregard who spent the last six years working in Macau before deciding to come back to Vegas has plans to host a grand opening for the new poker room which he will reveal in the weeks to come.
In a statement, Beauregard said “I think what we’re going to be proudest of in the new room is the feel and the vibe. We took extra steps to really consult with the designers to make sure it’s a big spacious room. It’s got a lot of area. We made sure there’s a lot of room in between tables. The layout of the room is what I’m going to be most proud of. As a player, I can really appreciate some elbowroom.”
