The long-awaited sharing of Nevada’s, Delaware’s, and New Jersey’s online poker pools is almost here and WSOP.com is making sure there are tons of surprises and exciting prizes that await their players from all three states.
Last week, Caesars Interactive Entertainment announced that both WSOP.com and 888Poker.com will finally merge their online poker pools in three US states come May 1. While Nevada and Delaware have been in a shared poker pool for quite some time now, this move marks a momentous moment for the poker community since New Jersey has the biggest online gambling market since 2013. This means that merging the New Jersey pool with the Nevada-Delaware pool will only create a bigger market, thus creating bigger guarantees and prizes.
New Accounts For Nevada And Delaware Players
Part of the merging requires Nevada and Delaware players to create a new account and download new software so they can join the New Jersey pool. Players have been able to start pre-registering for new accounts since April 24 via WSOP.com. They are allowed to create new accounts at WSOP.com wherever they are in the world, but they can only start accessing the site and playing once they are within playing borders of New Jersey, Nevada, and Delaware.
Upon pre-registering, everything inside the player’s accounts—including their bankroll balance, tournament tickets, and loyalty points—will be transferred to their new account. WSOP.com is also giving players the ability to keep or change their usernames if they’re registered in both the WSOP NJ and WSOP NV platforms. This means that WSOP.com will allow you to keep your username in the state where you have most plays in.
As a special treat to all those who are pre-registering from WSOP Nevada, players’ names will be entered into a free drawing for a $10,000 Main Event seat at the upcoming 49th World Series of Poker (WSOP) at the Rio All-Suite.
Online WSOP Bracelets and Satellites
The shared liquidity comes just in time for the 49th WSOP which is set to take place from May 29 to July 17. There will be a record number of four official online bracelet events happening via WSOP.com.
Players from New Jersey, Nevada, and Delaware can join any or all of the four online events and look to see if they can take home one of the coveted gold bracelets. The events are as follows: $365 NLHE on June 3, $565 6-Handed PLO on June 22, $1000 NLHE on June 29, and a $3200 High Roller NLHE on June 30.
If you want to join the live action at the WSOP but find the buy-ins a little too high for you, there is a way in via the new WSOP.com satellite events. Those who are interested to join the events can do so via freerolls and satellites that will be held at the WSOP.com. Freerolls will be held daily from May 1 to 14, and a variety of satellites will be held from May 1 to July 13. The 25 Seat Scramble also returns to WSOP.com, giving away 25 Main Event seats.
New Loyalty Program
Although loyalty points will be transferred from already existing accounts, WSOP.com is introducing an overhauled loyalty program to increase the maximum rake back for players. Called the Poker Rewards, the new loyalty club will offer as much as 32 percent rake back based on amount of participation, and will remove the previous Total Rewards levels.
The new reward tiers are Player (Monthly) at 0 percent rake back, Bronze (Monthly) at 8 percent rake back, Silver (Monthly) at 20 percent rake back, Elite (Monthly) at 25 percent rake back, and the Champions Club (Annual) at a huge 32 percent rake back.
Bigger Guarantees and New Tournaments
Players will be happy to know that with the bigger player pools come with bigger guarantees. WSOP.com has announced that it will be giving away a total of $15 million in guarantees, spread across a variety of weekly and monthly events and tournaments from June to September 2018.
Some of the new and richer tournaments that will be added in the site include the daily tournaments with at least $10,000 in guarantees.
Sundays will also continue to be the biggest day of the week, with an array of tournaments throughout the day that adds up to a guarantee of at least $250,000. The weekly flagship tournament will be the Sunday $100,000 guarantee, where a $320 buy-in can propel you to bigger and richer heights. If you can’t afford the buy-in, there are always daily freerolls that can get you into that Sunday $100,000 event.
