WSOP Europe Returns With 15 Bracelet Events And Nearly $12M in Guarantees

The schedule for this year’s World Series of Poker Europe has finally been released. The festival is back after taking a break for two years as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2021 WSOP Europe will run from November 19 to December 8 at the King’s Resorts in Rozvadov, Czech Republic.
Prior to that, the casino will also play host to a WSOP Circuit festival which will take place from August 12 to September 14.
2021 WSOP Europe Key Details & Highlights
This year’s WSOP Europe will award a total of 15 gold bracelets, and €11,550,000 in guaranteed prize money. Players can choose from a wide range of buy-ins starting at €350, all the way up to €50,000.
The main highlight of the festival is the WSOPE NLH €10,350 Main Event, which comes with a whopping €5 million guarantee. It runs from December 3-8. The latest WSOPE Main Event winner was Alexandros Kolonias, who, in 2019, defeated a field of 541 entries to take home €1,133,678 in top prize. The event ended up awarding €5,139,500 in total prize money, surpassing its initial €5 million guarantee.
The 2021 schedule also includes other key events that players shouldn’t miss, among them are a handful of tournaments with seven-figure guarantees. The WSOPE NLH Colossus comes with a €1 million guarantee but only costs €550 to enter. It takes place from November 24-30.
In addition to that, there are two high roller tournaments perfect for those who are into high-stakes action. The first one, the WSOPE 25K NLH Platinum High Roller, will take place from November 29-30 and features €1 million in guaranteed prize money. A similar event, but this time with a higher buy-in of €50,000, and a bigger guarantee of €2 million, is scheduled for December 2-3.
Don’t forget that there’s huge value also up for grabs in the opening event. For a buy-in of just €350, you will be able to compete for €400,000 in guaranteed prizes in the WSOPE 2021 NLHE Opener on November 19-22. Also add to your list the WSOPE €1,350 Mini Main Event, which comes with a €600,000 guarantee.
The 2021 WSOPE schedule is loaded with no-limit hold’em events, but there are other variants and formats also thrown into the mix, including short deck hold’em, 8-game, and pot-limit Omaha.
The WSOP is giving away more than 160 gold bracelets this year via a combination of online and live festivals. An Online Series is ongoing, with the domestic portion currently taking place on WSOP.com. It kicked off on July 1 and will run through July 31, with 33 online bracelets up for grabs.
It will then be followed by the international portion of the online series which will take place on GGPoker from August 1-31 and will also award 33 gold bracelets.
The crown jewel will be the 2021 WSOP festival at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas which will run from September 30 to November 23. The live, in-person festival features 88 gold bracelet events, including several WSOP stalwarts as well as new tournaments.
WSOP Circuit
The WSOP Circuit will get underway at King’s Casino on August 12. There’s also plenty of action and huge guarantees that players can look forward to in the festival, including the WSOP Circuit NLH €1,700 Main Event on September 10-14, which features a massive €1 million guarantee. It also has a Mini version scheduled for August 25-30, which comes with a €250 buy-in and a €500,000 guarantee.
Other highlights include the WSOP Circuit NLH €550 buy-in, €500K GTD Monsterstack (Sept. 2-6); €330 buy-in, €400K GTD NLH KENTA Bounty Hunter (Aug. 18-23); €250 buy-in, €20K GTD NLH Seniors Event 50+ (Aug. 24); and the €250 buy-in, €10K GTD NLH Ladies Event (Aug. 25).
All in all, the WSOP Circuit festival will give away 17 gold rings, and over €3.6 million in guaranteed prizes.
