Less than a month after going live in Pennsylvania, WSOP.com is buzzing with activity. The online poker operator will now host three major tournament series in August. First, PA players will be able to take part in an exclusive online bracelet series taking place from August 8 to 15, featuring eight bracelet events.
Two New Series Announced for PA
WSOP.com has also announced that it will be hosting two additional festivals in the Keystone State this month, and will also be giving away more exciting prizes via a raft of promotions. All these in a bid to boost publicity in the lead up to the live WSOP festival at the Rio in Las Vegas this fall.
From August 17 to 29, PA players will compete in the Progressive Knockout Series which will award a WSOP Championship Belt during the final event. After that, it’s time for the Keystone Classic series, running from August 22-31, with over $500,000 in guarantees on offer. WSOP.com will announce the complete details of these upcoming series soon, so players should stay tuned.
August Promos
Throughout the month, players can also take advantage of several promos, starting with a Depositor’s Freeroll which features $50,000 in guaranteed prize money, and will also award three $10,000 WSOP Main Event seats. This promo is open to players who make a deposit by August 15.
The freeroll will take place on August 22, with the 1st and 2nd placers set to receive a WSOP Main Event ticket. The third Main Event seat will be awarded via random draw.
Not only that. WSOP.com will also be running a DIY Bonus, which will give players the chance to build their own bonus, with up to $2,000 up for grabs. They only need to opt in to the promo, play cash games, and earn points. For every $1 in rake, players receive 2 wagering points.
The amount of bonus will depend on the wagering points earned. To get the maximum bonus of $2,000, players must earn 10,000 wagering points. Those who are unable to reach that can opt for a lower volume target: 100 points – $10; 1,000 points – $100; 2,000 points – $200; 5,000 points – $500.
To qualify, players should play at least three days throughout the duration of the promo and collect at least 1 wagering point for each day. The DIY Bonus promo will run from August 15 to 22 and is also open to players in New Jersey and Nevada.
Those aiming for a WSOP Main Event seat can secure one for a fraction of the price by taking part in satellites running on WSOP PA every Sunday.

WSOP.com Starting Strong in PA
WSOP.com entered the Keystone State on July 12, and so far, it’s been recording steady cash game traffic. Latest figures provided by GameIntel show WSOP PA has now nearly matched BetMGM in terms of market share. PokerStars still remains the dominant player in the PA market, but WSOP’s solid reputation and experience in online poker could give PokerStars a run for its money.
WSOP is expected to do its best to grab a significant portion of the PA market, given its huge size. The Keystone state is home to a population of 12.8 million, making it the largest US state so far to legalize online poker. At the moment, players on WSOP PA are treated as a separate pool, but that will change soon when interstate compacts take effect.
The WSOP’s New Jersey and Nevada sites are currently involved in a multi-state online poker agreement with 888-powered rooms in Delaware, and that network might expand soon with the participation of Pennsylvania.
WSOP.com is poised to achieve massive growth in 2021 as it also plans to launch in Michigan before the year ends. Assuming PA and MI eventually decide to create their own compacts or join the existing interstate deal between New Jersey, Nevada, and Delaware, WSOP.com could operate the biggest online poker network in the country.
