The World Series of Poker finally concluded in November but there are a number of other exciting poker tournaments expected to take place in the coming months. The World Poker Tour (WPT) announced that it is planning to launch a brand new super high roller event at its WPT National Philippines series that is expected to take place from the 2nd – 8th Jan 2016 at the Solaire Resort & Casino in Manila, Philippines.

The gambling industry in the Philippines has grown considerably over the last couple of years as the collapse of the Macau gambling industry has resulted in a number of Macau’s usual high rollers and VIP gamblers shifting their location to the Philippines. The WPT National Philippines is expected to bring in some of the top poker players on the Asian circuit and from other countries as well.
