World Poker Tour Season XV To Feature Twenty Main Tour Events
The World Poker Tour (WPT) is one of the most popular poker tours in the world and the company recently announced its full schedule for Season XV. This year the WPT will feature a total of twenty main tour events and the second edition of its WPT Tournament of Champions, which fared well last season.
The last season of the WPT featured a total of 21 main tour events and over $50 million in guaranteed prizes. The WPT decided to drop two stops from Season XV and removed the WPT Vienna and WPT Emperors Palace Poker Classic. A new stop has been added to this season’s schedule with the WPT Caribbean being introduced.

The popular Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic is expected to host the WPT Caribbean in November 2016. The WPT which has teamed up with partypoker believes that the introduction of the WPT Caribbean at the Hard Rock Hotel will provide players with a fantastic gaming experience. The WPT Season XV is currently underway and the next stop is the WPT Choctaw which takes place from 29 July to 2 Aug at the Choctaw Casino Resort.
The WPT and partypoker have also decided to introduce the WPT Passport which gives players more options of qualifying for WPT main tour events. The online website will introduce a number of WPT Passport super satellites that link to a $530 WPT Passport satellite with a minimum of one $5,000 package to be won. The winner of this package will have a maximum of twelve months to decide which WPT event they would like to participate in.

Some of the WPT main tour stops include the partypoker WPT UK which takes place at the Dusk Till Dawn casino from 31 Oct to Nov 6 and the partypoker.net WPT Montreal which takes place at the Playground Poker Club from Nov 11 to Nov 17.
