The World Poker Tour (WPT) has launched a brand new poker training application called the WPT Poker Trainer . Currently available at the Apple iTunes store only for iPad, iPod Touch, and iPhone, the training app has a high download speed.

As soon as players download the WPT Poker Trainer, it teaches them how to make the best use of it. Right now, players can choose one out of four hand packs, each of which offers a sample hand, which players can try for free before purchasing the paid version. A sample pack of five hands is also available.

The hands, which feature sharp graphics, strongly resemble online poker hands, but players do not have as wide a choice of actions as they have in online poker. As soon as players make a move, WPT Poker Trainer will provide an immediate feedback with its opinion regarding their move. The app comprises lessons carefully prepared by professional poker instructors from the WPT Boot Camp.

Besides, WPT Poker Trainer has plans to launch fresh hand packs on a monthly basis so that players can improve their skills. In addition to the sample pack, the app now offers hand packs such as Pre-Flop Play, Odds, Continuation Betting, and a Bonus Pack.

Players who use WPT Poker Trainer will earn anywhere between one and three Pro Coins depending on the quality of their moves. If players receive less than three coins, the app will clearly explain to them what was wrong with their moves and how they can improve the quality of their gaming style. The coins earned are indicative of the quality of a player’s performance; besides, players can use these coins to unlock the Bonus Pack and get some more valuable poker-related information.

One of the poker players who use WPT Poker Trainer said: “I play poker often with groups of friends and was curious to see what I could actually learn. You get really detailed feedback after every move, which is fantastic and actually helpful. I’d recommend this to anyone who has a grasp on how to play Texas Hold’em and wants to improve their playing. And maybe get more of their friends’ money.”

The only downside of the app is that users cannot have over 4 choices on a particular hand. In real life poker, on the other hand, betting sizes can be varied considerably and the choice range is wider.
