After achieving record-breaking success in a massive Online Series back in May, the World Poker Tour (WPT) is aiming to create history once again with the first-ever WPT World Online Championships, which is currently underway on partypoker.
The massive series is running under the ongoing partnership between the WPT and partypoker, which has so far produced great, positive results during a time when the live poker scene is generally dull and empty due to the COVID-19 pandemic. WPT’s collaboration with the world’s second-largest online poker site enabled it to move its live events to the virtual felts, and keep offering top-quality tournaments to their customers.

$100 Million in Total Guarantees Up For Grabs
The WPT World Online Championships comes with a staggering $100 million guarantee, spread across nine weeks of top-notch online action!
The festival features exciting tournaments from start to finish, incorporating unique elements from the traditional live event, with the ultimate goal of bringing authentic live poker experience to players and fans around the world. The jam-packed schedule has something in store for players of all levels, giving them the opportunity to walk away as big winners regardless of their bankroll.
12 Championship Events, Limited Re-entries    
The festival is made up of 12 Championship events, giving away multi-million guaranteed prize pools. The Main Event alone features a whopping $10 million guarantee, for a buy-in of $10,300. It has two starting flights, each only allowing a single re-entry. The same goes for the rest of the championship events, and late registration is also limited. All NLHE events on the schedule also feature a single re-entry.

Each Championship event has a Mini and Micro version, and five winners will be awarded with a seat to the popular WPT Tournament of Champions. If you want to participate for a much cheaper price, you win your way to the big events via satellites, which you can enter for as low as $3.30.
Players will also compete using their real names, another unique element of the festival. Right from the start, you’ll know who you’re up against, replicating the live battle.
Premier Partners    
WPT’s premier partners are also on board to give away additional exciting prizes? Renowned French cyrstal manufacturer Baccarat Crystal, which presents the WPT Tournament of Champions, will award a set of Everyday Baccarat tumblers to the five lucky players who earn a seat to the championship tournament. Leaderboard Race   
Another thing to be excited about is the presence of various leaderboards throughout the festival, awarding a total of $100,000 in extra prizes. The WPT Player of the Championship Leaderboard comes with a $75,000 extra giveaway to the top 10 finishers, with $10,000 going to the first-placer. You may earn points by taking part in Championship events with a buy-in of at least $300
For tournaments below that level, there’s a WPT Rising Star leaderboard that will give away $25,000 in additional prizes to the top 10 performers.
