US-facing Bitcoin Poker Site Infiniti Poker Soft Launched
Infiniti Poker, a real-money US online poker room accepting deposits in Bitcoin and USD, has been soft launched. Since it is just a soft launch, features such as the Infinivision tables, powered by webcams, will be available only to real money players. Right now, players can fund their accounts in Bitcoin and USD, but can withdraw their winnings using Bitcoin only.

The other US-facing real money poker rooms offering Bitcoin as a deposit and withdrawal option are Satoshi Poker and Seals with Clubs. During the last two years, the team behind Infiniti Poker subjected their product to several tests, owing to which its launch was considerably delayed.
Michael Hajduk, chief executive officer for Infiniti Poker, says that he wanted to develop “the new paradigm of online gaming” and a poker gaming software that was “more exciting than PokerStars.” Two months ago, the beta version of Infiniti Poker was launched, and though promising, it fell short of Hajduk’s expectations.
However, any poker room accepting Bitcoin as a deposit and withdrawal option tends to get very popular. For example, Seals with Clubs, which has emerged as the leading Bitcoin online poker room, has average peak traffic of 133 players to its cash game tables. It is also worth noting that the player traffic at Seals with Clubs is almost equal to that of WSOP.com, Nevada’s second licensed online poker room, which had the benefit of advertising campaigns worth millions. Besides, Ultimate Poker, Nevada’s first online poker room, is three ranks below Seals with Clubs in the PokerScout.com ranking system.
Infiniti Poker has published a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page on Reddit to promote its soft launch. The online poker room says that, for the first few weeks, withdrawals can be done in Bitcoin only although deposits can be made in USD. Besides, players in some countries such as Canada are not allowed to register during the soft launch period. In a few weeks, however, the online poker site is expected to lift these restrictions.
Infiniti Poker also promises to launch a promotion with 50 percent lifetime rakeback and a rewarding loyalty rewards system called Prestige VIP Club, which will reward not only high stakes players, but also low stakes players, in the near future. The online poker room also promises the launch of a Mac compatible version.
Infiniti Poker could become popular as it permits its US customers to deposit and withdraw funds in two currencies—Bitcoin and USD.
