The offer to play heads-up against professional poker player Gus Hansen on TV is still available at Full Tilt Poker, but those interested in doing so do not have a lot of time as there are only three seats up for grabs. Called the Full Tilt Poker Pro Battle TV Show, this is a regional promotion meant especially for poker players in the Baltic and CIS region.
The winners will get the opportunity to play with the top professional poker players of the region, such as Andrey Zaichenko, Sergey Ribachenko, Dominykas Karmazinas, Konstantin Puchkov, and Oleksii Kovalchuk.
The winner will get the chance to take part in a Six Max Sit ‘N’ Go with another qualifier as well as four poker pros and win a large pot of $12,000. Six such Sit ‘N’ Gos will be held, and the winner of each will then take part in a final Sit ‘N’ Go event for a top prize of $35,000 and the opportunity to play poker on TV with Full Tilt Poker’s sponsored pro Gus Hansen.
Hansen said: “This should be a great event with a lot of talented poker players. I have a lot of Russian friends in Kiev, and I look forward to making some new ones during the show, that is, if they forgive me after I beat them all.”
As previously mentioned, those aspiring to play with Gus Hansen do not have much time left as only two direct qualifiers are left to be played. While the first of these will be played on Nov 10, Sunday at 20:00 MSK, the second will be played on Nov 16, Saturday at 20:00 MSK.
Although players from all over the world can view the TV show, only poker players from Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Georgia, Lithuania, Tajikistan, Kyrgyztan, Latvia, and Maldova can actually take part in the promotion.
Full Tilt Poker is running weekly qualifiers with buy-ins of $100+$9 on Sundays at 11:00 ET from October 13 to November 10. The last qualifier will be held on November 10 at 11:00 ET. On Sundays, Full Tilt Poker is also running qualifier tournaments, the last of which will be held on Nov 16, Saturday. Winners will get Full Tilt Poker Pro Battle TV Show prize packages worth over $3000. Players can also qualify through daily freerolls, but the last of these was held on Nov 9, Saturday.
