Next year, one skilled and lucky person will get to the chance to be a poker globetrotter, thanks to PokerStars.This month, the PokerStars Tournament Leader Board (TLB) will be used to determine how over $250,000 in cash and prizes will be divvied up.
Those players who finish from 501st through 1000th on the December TLB will participate in a freeroll, with the winner claiming a prize package to the EPT Monte Carlo.The other eight players at the final table will split $15,000 in cash.
This same tournament will be played by the 201st through 500th TLB finishers, as well as the 101st through 200th place finishers.
The top 100 December TLB finishers get to play in a juicier tournament.Second place in this one gets the Monte Carlo package, while 3rd through 9th will split $25,000.The winner of the top 100 tournament will win the huge PokerStars Passport.
The Passport consists of entries into TEN large buy-in live tournaments all over the world.The first of the series is the EPT German Open in Dortmund in January 2008, while the final of the ten is the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in January 2009.For the eight events in between, the Passport holder can choose from amongst the remaining EPT events, AAPT events, or the Main Event of the WSOP.
Additionally, ten percent of any of the player’s winnings at the live tournaments will go back to the PokerStars community in the form of freeroll prizepools.
