Mike Matusow and Tony G recently discussed Full Tilt Pokers’ inability to return thier players’ funds. Matusow, the Full Tilt Poker expert, positioned himself in the center of the controversy and stood head to head against Party Poker’s representative Tony G, at the QuadJacks poker podcast.
Accusations were thrown at Full Tilt Poker’s representative Tony G by Mike Matusow for being involved in this. Mike Matusow mentioned that Tony G was getting involved for self-centered reasons which had something to do with his website pokernews.com and other poker associated media verticals. On his behalf, Mike Matusow assured that the poker players will definitely be refunded with all their money and in addition said that “I am not Joe Sebok. I am completely sure.”
To such a remark, Tony G responded quite unexpectedly and agreed to Mike Matusow’s reaction. He attempted to explain why he was being so supportive of Full Tilt Poker’s situation even though he was a paid representative of its rival Party Poker.
In an attempt to explain the situation he said that “I am involved in trying to work through it with some of the top level people at Full Tilt. And I am involved because it affects my business at PokerNews and my lifestyle in poker. We need to move forward with a positive sign to clear the rubble from the past and start building online poker into a safe, regulated system for everyone that wants to play.”
Being an active member on Twitter, Tony G, the unofficial representative of Full Tilt Poker at the moment, told his twitter buddies to give Full Tilt Poker all of two weeks to sort out all the issues. He even added that, Full Tilt Poker will in any case pay the players back all their money, insinuating that Full Tilt Poker may have even been planning to liquidate their personal assets and properties to pay back the players.
With regard to all the questions raised by the ambiguous players, Full Tilt Poker has responded positively and said that they have no cause to worry and that all the cash will be refunded in due time. The company has also given the good news that the website will soon be fully functional for American players. The details with regard to how the whole issue is going to be sorted out are yet to be mentioned. Although, the players have been told that apart from the bonuses or the tickets, the US players will be permitted to use all other facilities offered by the Full Tilt site shortly.
