Police in Mississauga, Ontario, just west of Toronto, have charged seven people for operating illegal gambling houses.The Ontario Provincial Police, through its Organized Crime Section – Illegal Gambling unit, arrested the organizers after executing search warrants from July through this week.

The investigation actually began in December, but finally culminated with a raid on one establishment on July 21, followed by two raids Sunday and one on Monday.The operators of the locations were officially charged with “keeping a common gaming house” for charging a fee for patrons to play poker.

Originally, the customers of the poker clubs were detained, as well, but all were released with no charges filed.

The following poker clubs were busted:

  • Topflight Poker Club, 125 Topflight Drive
  • Pockets – 6160 Netherhart, Unit 10
  • No Limit Club – 5500 Tomken Road, Unit 8
  • Hollywood – 2408 Haines Road Unit 5
