The Poker Players Alliance (PPA) is giving away a seat to the Main Event of the 2008 World Series of Poker to one lucky member who signs up by June 10.
It’s not completely free, but it is simple enough to enter.First, you need to become a dues-paying member (free memberships do not count).Next, you must go to your “PPA Advantages” page – powered by OneBigPlanet, an online rewards program – and make a purchase at one of the “Buy and Win a WSOP Seat” merchants. After that, you’ll be entered into the drawing for the seat, which will be held on June 17.
This promotion is being offered in conjunction with the PPA’s launch of its revamped website. The new site is designed to be a “more interactive and user friendly experience to PPA members.”The message forum has been redone and each PPA State Director has a blog, giving members more opportunity to communicate with one another.
In addition to the already existing member benefits, such as the PPA’s Litigation Support Network, the PPA is now giving members the ability to vote for the at-large member of the PPA Board.
“The PPA has entered into the top tier of advocacy organizations, and we have only our members to thank. As such, we are constantly looking for ways to increase the value of a PPA membership,” said former Senator Alfonse D’Amato, chairman of the PPA.“I am excited about the opportunities our new website and enhanced membership benefits offer to our members as we continue the fight to protect poker players’ rights.”
