PokerStars is promoting its special Players No Limit Hold’em Championship (PSPC) 2019 by giving away 300 Platinum Passes across different tournaments and special promotions. The PSPC has a $25,000 buy-in and will take place in Jan 2019 in the Bahamas. Each platinum pass is worth $30,000 and includes the buy-in, travel and accommodation allowances to the Bahamas.
The latest promotion from the online poker giant is known as ‘The Platinum Pass Adventure’ which is a series of programs tailor made to fit to each PokerStars ambassador. Members of PokerStars Team Pro will hold a unique platinum pass giveaway and a lucky winner will walk away with a Platinum Pass. PokerStars ambassadors that will be a part of this unique giveaway include Jason Somerville, Jaime Staples, duo Liv Boeree and Igor Kurganov.
Next Great Twitch Streamer by Jason Somerville
Following the recently announced partnership between PokerStars and Somerville’s Run It Up Studios, comes a new program that will look award the poker streamer with the most potential a platinum pass. The program launched on June 27 and asks poker streamers on Twitch to send in their entries to pspc@runitup.com along with their name, country of origin, Twitch page and a short paragraph describing themselves. The competition gives Twitch streams time till November 15 to log in 150 broadcast hours and build their following before Somerville and his fellow Twitch gurus get together and judge each streamer.
The judges include Ben “Spraggy” Spragg, Jaime Staples, Lex Veldhuis, Kevin Martin, Fintan Hand, and Jeff Gross who will judge each streamer based on their live cashes, average concurrent viewers, total hours of broadcast, presence in Twitch Poker, and their overall capability to fulfill the role of “Twitch Poker Ambassador.”

Your Ultimate Sweat by Jaime Staples
Jaime Staples was in the headlines recently for winning a prop bet against Bill Perkins along with his brother Matt. Jaime went on to lose more than 100 pounds in one year. Now Jaime will look to inspire others through his own Platinum Pass Adventure program, as he invites people to set their own “ultimate sweat” goal and achieve it.
The ultimate sweat adventure isn’t just restricted to losing weight. All you have to do is set a measurable goal whether it is losing weight, learning a new sport, or saving up a certain amount of money. You will then have to submit your Ultimate Sweat video before July 15 and send it across to ultimatesweat@pokerstaples.com as well as upload the same on Twitter using the hashtag #myultimatesweat
In your video, you will have to clearly define your goal, why is it important to you, how you plan to achieve it and how will you measure your progress throughout the competition.
Once you submit your application, you will have to provide weekly updates on Twitter using the hashtag to share your journey until the competition closes on October 8. A video summary should be published by October 15 to review the whole process and final results. Each submission will be judged via the personality and creativity of the challenge, the frequency of updates, level of difficulty, and progress made towards your goal.
The winner will receive a Platinum Pass and Staples will be including a free personal coaching session.
The Next Great Poker Brain by Liv Boeree and Igor Kurganov
Liv Boeree and Kurganov are holding a special Platinum Pass giveaway, where players will be tested on their mental skills. The duo will be holding preliminary quiz rounds on July 18, August 8, August 29, and September 19, where one’s poker knowledge will be tested. The ten highest scorers during the first four rounds will then advance to the final quiz round which is set for October 3.
