PokerStars has occupied the top spot in online poker cash game traffic rankings for the past three years and this year is no exception. The biggest online poker room in the world gets an average of 19,000 poker players to its cash game games, which is much more than the total traffic at the other top ten online poker networks and sites in the industry.
The number two online poker room is 888 Poker, which gets 2,400 players to its ring games. The third spot has been bagged by the iPoker Network, which gets an average of 2,000 players to its cash game tables every week. The traffic at iPoker Network may change as it is implementing a new system of source-based rake to attract casual poker players. This means that grinders may seek greener pastures in 2015.
Party Poker is not the only site that has climbed up the traffic rankings. PokerStars.it now occupies the sixth rank as it gets 1,450 players every week to its cash game tables. Since two operators have ascended the ladder, at least one operator must have descended. Bodog/Bovada is now in the seventh rank, getting a weekly average of 1,400 players to its ring game tables. Bovada continues to accept online poker players from the US.
The top eighth, ninth, and tenth sites are Winamax, which gets 1,200 players; PokerStars.es, which gets 1,200 players; and Adjarabet, which gets 1,150 players. PokerStars.fr couldn’t make it to the top-ten list as it gets just 1000 cash players.
Along with Bovada, online poker networks such as Merge, Winning Poker Network, Equity Poker Network, and Chico Poker Network continue to accept US poker players. In addition, US poker players can choose from bitcoin online poker rooms such as the SealWithClubs. Networks and sites such as Lock Poker and Revolution Poker Network also accept US players. The best option for online poker players from the US, however, is to head over to New Jersey, Nevada, or Delaware to play legal, well-regulated poker.
The top regulated US online poker room is New Jersey’s Party Borgata Network, which gets a weekly average of 150 players to its cash game tables. Close behind Party Borgata are WSOP.com in NJ and Nevada.
