PokerStars has over 69 million players and is one of the most successful online poker operators in the industry. Its online poker product includes a wide array of popular poker games, the most exciting tournaments, and large prize pools. Expressing his appreciation of PokerStars players, Hollreiser said that they are the world’s “the most loyal, passionate, and skilful poker players,” adding that PokerStars is continuously modifying its product to meet their requirements. He further said that the operator is proud to offer “the best mobile poker experience” and give its customers safe access to all player pools, games, and features that PokerStars offers.

This year, the operator attracted attention when its parent company The Rational Group signed a deal with Amaya Gaming, leading to the acquisition of Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars by the latter. PokerStars also upgraded its software and launched Spin N Go poker games, which became immensely popular. Although many grinders criticized Spin N Gos, players played them 7.3 million times during the first ten days after they were released.

Speaking about PokerStar’s mobile offerings, the operator said that most poker players now register for PokerStars accounts on mobile devices. The number of players opting to play on desktops as well as mobile devices is now on the rise, and many of these players choose to play at PokerStars alone.

This year, the eGaming Review conferred the title of Operator of the Year on William Hill Poker and the Outstanding Contribution Award to Patrick Kennedy, the CEO of Paddy Power Poker, in recognition of his contributions to the industry.
