In 2019, German high roller Fedor Holz founded a poker training site called “Pokercode” with a vision to support poker players worldwide on their respective poker journeys.
Since its launch, the platform has been helping players hone their skills and reach their utmost potential through live and online coaching sessions carried out by a team of experienced and highly accomplished pros. At the same time, Pokercode has also built a strong community of like-minded poker players and enthusiasts who motivate and inspire each other to grow and become better versions of themselves.
One of Pokercode’s goals is to host a live poker event that will bring together aspiring players and shine the spotlight on them. Now, that goal has turned into reality with the running of the first-ever Pokercode Festival.
Pokercode Festival Schedule & Highlights
The inaugural Pokercode Festival will be a four-day affair featuring three tournaments and a number of off-the felt activities. The event takes place at the Banco Casino in Bratislava, Slovakia from September 9-12.
The festival will be headlined by a €550 buy-in, €125,000 GTD Main Event, with the team at Pokercode expected to participate, including Matthias Eibinger, Rainer Kempe, and Fedor Holz .
These players are often seen competing in the highest level of tournaments with the highest stakes involved, and now the Pokercode Festival offers a great opportunity for players to compete with them without worrying about nosebleed buy-ins.
Players can enter the Main Event via three starting flights, running from September 9-10. Day 1 survivors will meet again on Day 2 until a final table is reached. The action will play down to a winner on September 12.
Apart from the $550 Main Event, the schedule also includes a €5,000 High Roller tournament, as well as a €220 Bounty King side event, both of which will take place on September 11.
The Pokercode Festival isn’t all about poker competition, as players will also get to enjoy some fun-filled activities away from the felts. There’s a Pokercode Pub Quiz on September 10, a Player’s Party on September 11, and a Soccer Tournament on September 12.
