The £50,000 Eight-Handed event was one of the most anticipated events at the Triton London SHR series as the eventual winner was guaranteed a million dollar payout. The event saw a total of 66 unique registrations and an additional 43 re-entries which ended up creating a whopping prize pool of £5,123,000.
With so much money up for grabs, some of the top high stakes poker pros in the world took part in the event to make it a hard fought battle for the final 15 who would end in the money. Some of the top poker pros who took part in this event include Christoph Vogelsang, Jason Koon, Daniel Dvoress, Isaac Haxton and Talal Shakerchi
The Triton SHR series is a great place for poker pros to make a name for themselves as a huge win can not only boost them up the All Time Money list but also give them a lot of publicity in the poker world.
UK poker pro Charlie Carrel ran through a tough field as he showed great composure and skill to not only make it to the final table but to stick it out and finish on top. Carrel had to battle it out in the end with American poker pro Jason Koon and he ended up getting the better of Koon to finish in first place and take home £1,321,000 which is around $1,601,853.
This was the third million dollar payout for the UK poker pro and also his biggest cashout till date. This win has propelled Carrel to number 3 on the UK’s All Time Money list with nearly $8.8 million in career prize money and pushed him into the top 100 on the All Time Money list.
Carrel is a big believer in being positive and staying away from negative energy and hate. His mindset played a big role in him being able to compete with the best poker pros in the world and come out on top.
Koon took home £907,000 which is a little over $1 million for his second place finish while Swiss poker pro Linus Loeliger finished in third place to claim £594,000 which is around $720,288.
The players who finished between 4^th place to 8^th place at this event all took home in excess of £180,000 in winnings.
Linus Loeliger Wins £25,000 Event
The £25,000 Event Triton SHR event also saw a great turnaround as a number of top high stake poker pros such as Cary Katz, Michael Soyza and Timothy Adams. The competition was tough as there was a lot of prize money at stake as the top 7 players were guaranteed to walk away with high six figure payouts.
The player who came out on top was Linus Loeliger who had to battle it out with two Canadian poker pros in Timothy Adams and Lucas Greenwood. Adams exited in third place and took home £307,000 leaving Loeliger and Greenwood to battle it out for the top spot.
Loeliger held his nerve and came out on the winning side taking home £690,000 which is around $840,039 while Greenwood collected £466,600 around $568,061 for his second place finish.
Linus Loeliger has won more than a $1 million in prize money at the Triton London Series and his total career prize money now stands at $1.8 million putting him in first place on Switzerland’s All Time Money list.
