Poker players in Pennsylvania have been spoiled recently with a number of exciting online poker tournaments. The World Series of Poker (WSOP) which recently entered the Keystone state has released a number of special promotions and exciting events to welcome new players and announce its arrival.
The WSOP just finished its first-ever WSOP PA Online Bracelet series which was very successful. The WSOP is back at it again as this time around they are preparing to introduce their first-ever PA WSOP Online Circuit series.
WSOP Online Circuit Series In PA
The WSOP is yet to make an official announcement concerning its WSOP Online Circuit series in Pennsylvania but we expect one very soon. This is because WSOP PA is already displaying WSOP Online Circuit events and allowing poker players in Pennsylvania to register and make their buy-ins in advance.
The PA WSOP Online Circuit series will run from Sep 03 to Sep 12 and will feature a total of 12 Gold Ring events. These 12 Gold Ring events will have a combined prize pool of $600,000 and is likely to get a lot bigger as the WSOP PA is expected a good response from the market.
WSOP PA has put together an interesting schedule of events that features a mix of poker variants and a nice range of buy-ins to enable poker players with different tastes and bankrolls to take part in this inaugural tournament. Some of the poker formats that you can expect to play include Double and Monster Stacks, Pot Limit Omaha (PLO), Turbo Tournaments and Progressive Knockouts (PKOs).
The minimum buy-in for this tournament is fixed at $215 while the max buy-in is fixed at $1,000. When you look at the average buy-in across all events, it comes down to $374.
Re-entries Across All Events
One reason why the prize pools across these events could get real big is because the WSOP PA is allowing re-entries across all events except one. Most events will allow players to between two to three re-entries. The Main Event will also allow up to two rentries. The only event that does not permit a re-entry is event number 11 since it is based on a Freezeout format. This is a $25,000 guaranteed NLH event that has a $215 buy-in.
The most exciting event of the PA WSOP Online Circuit series will be the Main Event that has a buy-in of $525 and a guaranteed prize pool of $100,000. All WSOP PA Circuit ring events that run on a Sunday will give players the opportunity to not only win a gold ring but also the opportunity to win a $10,000 seat to the 2021 WSOP Main Event that will take place at the Rio in Las Vegas, Nevada during November 2021.
Special Leaderboard
WSOP PA is also expected to run a special leaderboard that will have $10,000 in prizes waiting to be won. This leaderboard will be similar to the WSOP Leaderboards that are offered in Nevada and New Jersey. The players who finish in the top 10 leaderboard rankings will share the $10,000 prize. Leaderboard winners along with Gold Ring winners will also be invited to take part in a $25,000 freeroll tournament.
Winner Take All Freeroll
WSOP PA is pumping in a lot of money into this inaugural tournament as it is looking to capture as much market share as possible and push to become the number two online poker operator in the state.
There will be a special Winner Take All Freeroll that is open to all players who have taken part in a minimum of three Gold Ring Events. This Grinders Only Second Chance freeroll will give players an opportunity to win a seat to the $250,000 Year-End Championship event that has a WSOP gold bracelet on the line.
The Winner Take All Freeroll takes place on Sep 17.
