PKR and Facebook are now working together to give the world Fantasy Poker – an experience of social networking and online poker.
Social Network mogul – Facebook, is a platform for many online games. 3D poker pioneers, PKR, who are responsible in bringing the sheer joy of realistic poker gaming to the virtual world, have cracked yet another deal. With the World Series of Poker having commenced and the entire poker industry being focussed on poker tournaments, the creators of the 3D Online Poker experience- PRK – have decided to introduce a platform that would bring together WSOP, Fantasy Sports and Facebook. The next generation Fantasy Poker League Facebook application was released to keep up with World Series of Poker action.
The World Series of Poker fantasy league has offered Facebook users $100 million to spend. To initiate the process, League participants must select a team of eight poker players from among the top 180 of Poker’s biggies. These eight in turn, can invite their Facebook friends and start a private league. The eight chosen Poker leaders will earn points on contending in the 59 bracelet events that are up for grabs. The first prize for the League’s final winner, is the Apple iPad 3 followed by a range of poker chipsets for the League’s runner ups. The winner will be crowned once the WSOP reaches its final table.
Community Manager Dan Grant says that the online Poker world is missing something in terms of the WSOP tournament, which is why they are trying to develop a WSOP platform online. Grant also added that PKR revolutionised online Poker with their real life graphics and bring the joy of real-world Poker gaming to the virtual world. As PKR moves into new paths like Facebook, its growth in terms of popularity will be enormous, as it hopes to carve a niche among Facebook fans worldwide. In the coming weeks, as the Poker stars flock to Vegas for their chance to taste success, Fantasy league will follow their progress and share their success stories.
Although PKR regularly hosts cash tournaments and free Poker tables, its venture into the Social Networking world confirms just how huge this industry has become. As Facebook becomes a platform for Poker, it will not be long before online Poker enthusiasts find themselves in a virtual World Series of Poker environment. PKR is developed by some of the brightest minds in Poker and Game Design and continues to be the most sought after virtual Poker room in the world.
