The Sugar House Casino in Philadelphia will host the $100k Guaranteed Poker Showdown from April 23 to April 27. The event will have a buy-in of $280 and six starting flights. On April 26, 27, and 28, the casino will host a number of Poker Night in America (PNIA) high-stakes games.

Recently, PNIA had announced the lineup of players for these high-stakes games, which will be live streamed and broadcast. Phil Hellmuth is one of those players who will be taking part. It will be the third time Hellmuth is appearing on PNIA. He said: “I’m looking forward to spending time at SugarHouse in Philadelphia. It will be great to play alongside the local players, as well as mixing it up in the cash games.”

Darren Elias, a back-to-back World Poker Tour (WPT) champion; Dan Shak, the high-stakes poker pro; Andy Frankenberger, who had been formerly named the WPT Player of the Year; and Chad Holloway, winner of a WSOP bracelet and managing director of PokerNews.com will also be taking part.

Holloway said: “Not only will I be visiting Philadelphia for the first time, I’ll be playing the biggest cash game of my life. I’ve reported on most of these players for years, and I hope some of that information comes in handy at the table. I look forward to following in Kristy Arnett’s footsteps and representing PokerNews on Poker Night in America.”

Professional poker players such as Larry Ormson, Tom Schneider, Alec Torelli, Nancy Levin, and Shaun Deeb will also be appearing. Levin, who was selected through an open-casting call, will be playing for the first time. In addition, 888 Poker has sponsored two more players, who will take part in the event. Three local recreational poker players will also be around. They are Tony Luke Jr. of Tony Luke’s, Geno Veto of Geno’s Steaks, and Frank Olivieri of Pat’s Steaks.

Sugar House Casino will hold a press conference, at which the above-mentioned “Cheesesteak Kings” will appear along with PNIA Executive Producer Todd Anderson.

One of the cash games will be the Ladies Night II, an immensely popular tournament meant exclusively for female poker players. This is an invite-only event and famous female poker pros such as Beth Shak, Jennifer Shahade, and Jamie Kerstetter have been invited to play. Pros such as Ebony Kenney, Christina Lindley, Samantha Abernathy, Caitlin Hall, Karina Jett, Jessica Dawley, and Natasha Barbour will also be taking part.
