PartyPoker is offering hockey fans a supremely simple opportunity to win a free package to see either the Toronto Maple Leafs or Vancouver Canucks take on a National Hockey League (NHL) opponent. The site is giving away a total of 120 packages as part of its upcoming Canadian VIP Hockey Event Promotion.
Winning a package is a fairly straightforward endeavor, but the major caveat is that you have to be a Palladium Lounge member in order to participate. The promotional period is scheduled to run from February 12th through the 21st and only requires participants to sign in for the promotion and start earning PartyPoints. The first 120 players to earn 1,500 PartyPoints are all guaranteed packages, which can be used at one of four upcoming NHL games.
Each package includes two tickets to a VIP suite at the game, two night’s hotel accommodations, a VIP dinner and transportation from the hotel to the game and vice versa. PartyPoker has 30 tickets for each of the following match-ups:
3/13-3/14: Vancouver vs. Ottawa
3/15-3/16: Vancouver vs. NY Islanders
3/17-3/18: Toronto vs. New Jersey
3/19-3/20: Toronto vs. Montreal
Packages will be handed out on a first come, first serve basis. Once a player accumulates 1,500 PartyPoints, the site will award them with a tournament ticket. Players can then use that ticket to register in a lobby that corresponds to the game they would like to attend. After a player enrolls in the tournament lobby, they are signed up for the game and there are no additional steps between them and some Canadian hockey action.
Participants must opt-in in order to have their PartyPoints tallied. One can opt-in just by visiting PartyPoker’s official website and navigating to the info page for the Canadian VIP Hockey Event Promotion, which can be found under the “Promotions” tab. The opt-in button can be found at the bottom of the info page. Click that, fill out any necessary info and you’re all set. Players can opt-in at any time during the promotional period, though the sooner players get going on earning their 1,500 points, the better.
The prize packages cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to another user. Moreover, players who have won a similar NHL package as part of another PartyPoker promotion are not eligible to win a second package as part of the Hockey VIP Event. Finally, participants should be aware that transportation to and from the airport, hotel incidentals and spending money are the player’s responsibility.
Participants can already opt-in to the promotion so they can begin earning their PartyPoints starting at midnight on Friday February 12th.
