If you are on the hunt for high-quality tournaments with low buy-ins, the Monster Series at partypoker is perfect for you! The latest edition of the festival will get underway on October 31 and will run until November 16, featuring a total of 82 events with some of the best structures out there today.
Huge Value, Low Buy-in
The Monster Series continues its tradition of bringing value-packed events focused on low-stakes players. This year, players can take part in the festival for as low as $1.10, and much lower than that via satellites that are currently underway on the partypoker client. A few high roller events with buy-ins of between $109 and $265 have also been thrown in to accommodate those who are into high-stakes action.
Despite the affordable entry-fees, there’s massive value up for grabs, with plenty of events guaranteeing five to six figures. This will be on display as early as the first day, as the series kicks off with an 8-Max event that comes with $150,000 in guaranteed prize money, for a buy-in of only $33.
The jam-packed schedule features a variety of formats, including 8-Max, 7-Max, Knockout, Turbo, Hyper, Heads-Up, Deepstack, Mini Deepstack, PLO and PLO 8. Some events also come with a mini version. From the micros to the high-rollers, you can find an event to enjoy at the Monster Series!
Key Events
The Monster Series features an exciting line up of events, but it will culminate in the Main Event which has two buy-in choices: $5.50 and $55. The $5.50 buy-in Mini Main Event offers $30,000 in guarantees, while the $55 edition will give away a cool $300,000 in guaranteed prize money. Both events will kick off on November 14, with a winner being crowned on November 16.
Other key events on the schedule include an 8-Max Knockout event on November 7-9, which features $200,000 in guarantees for an entry fee of only $33. Decent value is also on offer in the $30,000 guaranteed Mini Knockout event, which players can enter for only $3.30.
Monster #19: 7-Max Knockout offers $100,000 in guaranteed prizes for an investment of only $22, while $10,000 will be won in the mini version which has a buy-in of only $2.20.
Reduced Late Registration
partypoker remains committed to making its tournaments as fair as possible to all participants, and they’re showing it at this year’s Monster Series, with a reduced late registration period and limited starting flights and re-entries.
All of the Monster Series events feature just a maximum of two starting flights, and each one only allows one re-entry, so that those who are unable to fire multiple bullets get more chances of finishing in the money. Apart from that, the blind structures are designed to mimic those adopted in top-level tournaments.
So even if the buy-ins are low, players will still enjoy impressive blind structures, such as that in Monster #15: Deepstack ($20,000 GTD), where the action starts with 200,000 in chips, played at 500/1,000/130a blinds, despite the entry fee sitting at a humble $11. Regardless of what stakes you choose to play in, you will still get to enjoy the same superb structure!
Partypoker is also reducing the late registration period. Late registration for the Monster Series will only be available for up to two hours, ensuring that everyone gets an equal chance at winning. It will also enable players to have prior knowledge as to the number of opponents they will have to go through to reach the top.
Monster Series Satellites
Satellites for the Monster Series are now running for as low as $0.11. Past editions of the festival saw a number of satellite qualifiers transforming their tiny investments into big winnings. If you want to follow in their footsteps, make sure to check the satellite schedule on the partypoker website.
