PartyPoker Looks To Expand Its Presence In Ireland By Signing Padraig Parkinson As Brand Ambassador

PartyPoker recently announced that it has signed Irish poker pro and veteran Padraig Parkinson to be its brand ambassador in Ireland. Parkinson will now join the PartyPoker brand ambassador team which includes the likes of Mike Sexton, Boris Becker, Jackie Glazier, Sam Trickett, Carl Froch, Tony Dunst, Roberto Romanello, Beata Jambrik, Jan-Peter Jachtmann and Joao Simao.
PartyPoker announced in 2016 that it plans to aggressively market its services and come up with new and exciting events in an effort to revive its brand image and once again become a major force in the online poker market. During the last 12 months, the company has signed a number of prominent brand ambassadors to penetrate new and old markets and build its global player database.

Padraig Parkinson is very well known on the Irish poker circuit and has won nearly $1.8 million in live poker tournaments. One of his favorite poker variants is pot-limit Omaha and one of his first assignments for the PartyPoker brand will be to represent the company at the Grand Prix Cork which is scheduled to take place Macau Sporting Club in Cork, Ireland between February 23 to 26.
He will then move on to the Dusk Till Dawn casino to take part in the £6 million guaranteed MILLIONS which will be in the latter stages. He will finish the rest of the year by returning to the Irish poker circuit. Parkinson has a number of accomplishments to his poker repertoire which includes winning the first ever UKIPT Galway Main Event for €103,500, winning the 5th series of the popular Late Night Poker, coming in third at the 1999 World Series of Poker (WSOP) main event and 3rd at the 2006 WSOP $1,500 no-limit hold’em event.

Parkinson has played the Irish poker circuit for more than 2 decades and is ranked 5th by the Hendon Mob on Ireland’s all time money list.
