partypoker is offering its players and fans a brand-new way of getting into the prestigious LIVE MILLIONS tournament without hurting their pockets! The Main Event is easily the main highlight of every MILLIONS tournament around the world, however the buy-in, which goes as high as $10,300 makes it difficult for players with a limited bankroll to take a shot.
MILLIONS Passport
While online satellites continue to take place, players now have one more option to qualify for MILLIONS events, and that is by winning a MILLIONS Passport. The package which is worth at least $11,000, includes a MILLIONS buy-in, hotel accommodation, travel costs, and other expenses.
What makes this offer more interesting is that players can actually use the passport to enter into any MILLIONS event within a 12-month period. This means the passport is valid for use up to the Caribbean Poker Party in November.
For a chance to win a MILLIONS Passport, players need to take part in $109 buy-in Phase 1 satellites which are running daily at partypoker. Survivors of the Phase 1 satellites will then advance to the next level, until they reach the final day which is held every Sunday. Take note though that there is no direct buy-in to the Sunday Final. You need to start from Phase 1 and advance from there.
The flexible package has been introduced based on player feedback, according to partypoker LIVE President John Duthie. The primary goal is to attract more recreational/amateur players. The new online qualifier provides a fresh opportunity for players to win big for a cheaper price.
Tons of feeder tournaments into the Phase 1 satellites, which include freerolls, are also running at partypoker.
The 2020 LIVE MILLIONS Tour
The highly popular partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Tour returns this year, offering at least $62 million in guarantees. The largest chunk goes to the individual Main Events, with up to $10,000,000 up for grabs!
The tour kicked off in January with the MILLIONS UK at Dusk Till Dawn. Swedish pro Anton Suarez outclassed a 530-entry field to take down the $10,300 Main Event for $1 million.
The South America leg of the tour is currently underway and will run through to February 15 at the Enjoy Resort & Casino, Punta del Este, Uruguay. The action will then head over to some more locations around the world, including Merit Crystal Cove Hotel Casino and Resort in Cyprus and the Aria Resort & Casino, Las Vegas in June,
The tour will also travel to London in July, with the London Hilton on Park Lane hosting the action. This particular stop is different from the rest of the MILLIONS Tour schedule as players will not be able to directly buy into the event. They can only qualify for events via direct satellites and through the MILLIONS Passport. A few VIP players will also be in attendance, and every table will feature one of them at the start of the tournament.
The tour will wrap up 2020 through a finale at the Caribbean Poker Party at Baha Mar Casino, Nassau Bahamas in November. An online edition of the MILLIONS event will also take place at partypoker in September. The passport can be used to enter into the event, and the $11,000 value will all be converted to buy-ins, instead of travel and hotel expenses. MILLIONS Prague is also penciled in for 2021.
Winners from last year’s MILLIONS Live Tour include Tom Marchese, Lukas Zaskondy, Ioannis Angelou-Konstas, Adrian Mateos, and Marty Mathis.
Inaugural MILLIONS Super High Roller Series
Apart from that, partypoker live is also teaming up with Triton Poker to hold its first-ever MILLIONS Super High Roller festival in Sochi, Russia on March 6-15. The tournament will run in conjunction with Poker Central’s Super High Roller Bowl Russia on March 13.
The inaugural MILLIONS Super High Roller Series is expected to attract some of the biggest names in the high roller circuit, including Rob Yong, Cary Katz, Paul Phua, Mikita Badziakouski, Richard Yong, and Jason Koon. The series will feature eight events, with buy-ins ranging from $25,000 – $250,000. However, the MILLIONS Passport will no longer be valid for use in this tournament series.
