This year saw the launch of Party Poker’s Premier League Poker, a televised poker show filmed in the UK. The new TV series featured 12 of the world’s best players playing in a unique league format for a $500,000 pot.

Party Poker developed a system to showcase the legendary poker prowess of each player: all 12 players play six times in the preliminary stages. The leading six players will then progress to the final table and the next four will battle it out in heads-up matches for the final two seats. Each player bought in for $20,000, and added $260,000 to the final table prize pool.

Yesterday Party Poker announced that the last episode from the final table of the Premier League Poker will be broadcast soon on Channel 4 in the UK and Ireland, and a winner will be crowned. Commentary for the series was provided by Jesse May, Tony G and the UK’s greatest poker legend, Dave “The Devilfish” Ulliott.
At the start of the concluding episode six players remain at the final table.
