Party Poker continues to branch out and offer satellites to a number of popular poker tournaments around the world. Their latest addition to a roster of tournaments that already includes the Asian Poker Tour, the World Series of Poker, the Party Poker World Open and Australia’s Poker News Cup is the Conrad Poker Open’s season-ending stop at the beachside Conrad Resort and Casino in Punta Del Este, Uruguay. Satellites to the event will be running for the next three months and players can win their way in for as little as $10.
The $2,500 buy-in event will take place on the 4th and 5th of December and Party Poker sponsored pro Felipe “Mojave” Ramos has confirmed he will be both attending and playing in the event. Those fortunate enough to win their way into the event via satellite will get a chance to spend a little time with Ramos away from the felt too. Part of the prize package for satellite winners includes a fine dining experience with Ramos at what Party Poker promises to be one of Punta Del Este’s finest restaurants. In addition to the dinner with Ramos, satellite winners will also receive a buy-in into the event, hotel stay at the nearby AWA Design + Boutique Hotel, transportation back and forth between the hotel and the casino and $500 in spending money. With the tournament buy-in and the amenities, the prize package is valued at $3,500.
Unfortunately for some Party Poker users, the satellites are limited only to players who reside in Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Brazil and Peru. Party Poker users who do hail from those countries have a couple of different ways to win their satellite packages. Two daily rebuys are currently running on Party Poker. One is a $9 + $1 speed qualifier with rebuys that will award one seat into one of the final event qualifiers for every $275 in the prize pool. That event runs nightly at 9PM ET. The other satellite is a $27.50 + $2.50 speed qualifier that will award one final event qualifier seat for each ten players in the tournament. The higher buy-in event goes off nightly at 8PM ET.
There will be a grand total of four final event qualifiers that will run every 22 days from now until November 12th. These satellites feature a $250 + $25 buy-in and will award one Conrad Poker Tour prize package for every fourteen players. The four final event qualifiers will run on September 11th, October 1st, October 22nd and November 12th. Those who win a satellite package will not be able to exchange it for cash or cash equivalent nor will they be allowed to transfer the package to another individual. The only potential exception is for players who win multiple packages to the December event.
Those who win their way into the event will also be responsible for obtaining any necessary visas and permits to attend the tournament. They will be required to book their own transportation as well.
