In the world of public cash game poker, there are a few standards: GSN’s High Stakes Poker, the burgeoning Million Dollar Cash Game and the Party Poker Poker Den: The Big Game.

Party Poker has announced the third installment of its popular high stakes superstar series will begin on Tuesday September 30th and extend for a continuous 36 hours of play. While none of the players are expected to stick around for a day and a half, commentator Jesse May has sworn to be there (not to mention commenting) for every minute of play.

Last year’s Party Poker Poker Den saw such poker superstars as Phil Hellmuth, Tony G, Dave “Devilfish” Ulliot, Roland de Wolfe and Mike “The Mouth” Matusow go up against each other for millions over the course of the then-24 hour event.

This year Tony G, Devilfish, Jamie Gold, Robert Williamson III, Roland de Wolfe, Neil Channing, Andrew Feldman, Brian Townsend and Kirk Morrison are already confirmed to appear while others expected to appear include Phil Laak, Antonio Esfandiari, Jon Kalmar, Sammy “Any Two” George, Roberto Romanello, John Tabatabai, Mike “The Mouth” Matusow, Jennifer Tilly, Anthony Hardy and of course, Phil Hellmuth.

The game itself will begin as a $10,000 minimum buy-in (most buy in for at least $50K) $25/$50 NL Hold’em game. But with the legion of high stakes superstars set to appear, expect those blinds to jump along with a true madness of straddles and prop bets.

Running concurrently with the Big Game III will be a promotion where all players playing in real money games on will be eligible to win an hourly $1,000 bonus just for playing on Party Poker.
The game will first be broadcast on Channel 5 in the UK then be distributed worldwide. To follow along with the action live, go to
