According to a report in Pokerfuse PRO, Phil Ivey, the professional poker player, is going to play a major role in a recently signed partnership deal between Jim Ryan, the former chief executive officer of Bwin.party Digital Entertainment Plc, and the Pala Band of Mission Indians.

The deal has given rise to a new company called Pala Interactive, which is now preparing to launch online casino and poker products in California as soon as the state regulates and legalizes online gambling. The partnership deal is currently limited to launching online gambling products in California, but can be modified at a later date to include online gambling expansion in other US states.
Online gambling sites launched by Pala Interactive will run on Realtime Edge Software (RTE), which is currently used by major companies such as RocketFrog, GTECH, Bwin.party, and ClubWPT.
Public records reveal that Pala Interactive LLC was registered on February 2013. The company’s registered agent is attorney Susan Basinger, who had represented the Pala Band of Mission Indians in the past. In January, the company registered its domain name PalaInteractive.com.
Phil Ivey, who was a sponsored poker player at Full Tilt Poker before Black Friday, is today the driving force behind Ivey Poker, which recently acquired LeggoPoker, an online poker training portal and launched a social poker gaming application on Facebook. Ivey Poker is also home to a team of professional poker players.
LeggoPoker is the home of several poker training videos. Aaron Jones, the former owner of LeggoPoker, who was also the founder of the site, plans to launch another poker training site called Ivey League, which will be one of the poker training sites on the Ivey Poker Network, an online network of poker sites devoted to educating and training online poker players. LeggoPoker will be shut down when Ivey League launches, and Phil Ivey has already prepared the training videos for Ivey League.
Ivey Poker is a social online poker room, where players can play online poker games for free. The site is home to prominent poker pros such as Cole South, Patrik Antonius, and Greg Merson, to mention just a few.
Pala Interactive will become successful only if California launches proper online gambling regulations. New Jersey and Nevada have already framed online gaming regulations that give great importance to the eligibility of key personnel for service providers as well as licensees. California’s online gambling regulations also contain similar language.
