Happy Halloween! First thing, forum is fixed and ready to go again. Second thing is that there will be an unofficial forum tournament today, with the usual tournament details. Third – today is the last day of the Rapid Attack Tournament, so get those results in if you procrastinating on it.

I somehow broke the forum during an upgrade, so it is only allowing registered users to use it at the moment. So if you want to participate on the forums, you'll need to register for now until I get it fixed. Technology really kills me sometimes.

Just a reminder again that the Rapid Attack STT tournament is going to end this coming Sunday, so if you think you're good, give it a shot and get a chance to win a free prize. Also, no official forum tournament this week either. If anyone really wants to play however, I don't mind setting a private tourney up as a side game.

I updated the theorem of blind stealing article with a few extra points at the bottom.

The tournament history for CTM #8 has been uploaded to the forum tournament section. Thanks to JP for compiling the hand histories together.

Congrats to Scotty, the winner of CTM #12, a heads-up competition and deezer_1 for winning the free copy of Poker Tracker. Deezer – please contact me via the forums to get your free copy. If you played in last week's tournament (#3007205), please send your history to JP as well.

Lastly, Daliman, a $200 STT player and well respected 2+2 poster has donated STT histories for the site! I've put them in the visitor histories section, so go check'em out. Big thanks to Daliman for offering the histories!

I uploaded an article titled the The Theorem of Blind Stealing which I regard as fundamental strategy when it comes to single table tournaments at Party Poker. I've hinted at the concepts about this before on the forum, but didn't have any takers, so maybe this will stir the pot.

Just an announcement of the CTM #12 Tournament this coming Sunday. It will be a heads-up no-limit tournament like last week, so if you feel like some one on one action, drop on by! A free copy of Poker Tracker will be raffled off at this tournament as well.

Congratulations to Larry for winning the heads-up tournament last week, defeating heids, me and mathman for the first prize finish.

Lastly, the Poker Edge review has been corrected, as I accidentally said their low-limit subscription is $50/year when it is actually $60/year. If you play at Party Poker cash games, I highly recommend you check them out.

Just saw a BBC article today mentioning why games and online poker are helpful for stock traders. Pretty interesting, I wonder if this is how the suits in Wall Street justify their gambling habits 🙂

In Party Poker news, the bad beat jackpot recently got up to over $300,000 and caused a huge migration of players to those tables. Lots of incredibly loose play during that time, so even though there's the extra rake, those games may still be very profitable when the jackpot is huge. But, it didn't last too long as SDViking won the jackpot for a cool $115,961 bucks. Lucky guy 🙂

Also, don't forget, there is also a month long STT Rapid Attack tournament going on, with free prizes for the winner, so check that out if you want to challenge your single table tournament skills.
