Party Poker Multi-Tabling Software
Hot off the press: Party Poker multi-table beta software client. If you are new to Party Poker, do not use this client, as it is a BETA VERSION and for us experienced players. Otherwise, you can go to the Party Poker homepage and download the normal software there.
This beta client was released to the VIP program and seems to be Party's attempt at keeping it's VIP players happy, since many of them play multiple tables at one time. Good move on Party Poker's part and it will be interesting to try this software o ut.

Poker Tournament Freerolls and Deposit Bonuses
I know I've been lacking on getting you guys all the promos that I've used to before, so I'm going to be making some serious pushes this month and next month to bring some exclusive TightPoker.com freerolls going! These will be announced soon as I set them up, so bookmark the front page and stay tuned. My goal is to get $1,000 per month in exclusive freerolls going for the site members.
In bonus news, PokerStars is offering a 20% deposit bonus up to $120 until November 24th. If you aren't happy about the Party Poker and Empire split, now would be a good time to jump ship and test your mettle on PokerStars.

Real Poker Content
Ok, I've finally posted up some more poker content here for a change. First up, is a math intense poker tournament EV piece from TightPoker.com reader, Ron. This is an in-depth look at all-in preflop confrontations, so it's very useful for those of us tournament types that can understand this.
Second, I apologize to Sean for never getting this into a web format, but the size of the article was just a bit too big for me to handle. But for those of you out there who are newer texas hold'em players or beginners, this may be perfect for you guys. Sean's low limit hold'em guide) is a huge piece that covers just about every aspect of hold'em, detailing various situations in the game. It's a good compliment to Jeff's existing texas hold'em guide on the site.
Lastly, I'm trying to arrange TightPoker.com visitors an enhanced bonus offer with CaribbeanSun and also a freeroll, so keep your fingers crossed.

Poker Odds Forum Messages
Some new guy on the forum is PM'ing or emailing people asking them to call him to help him develop an odds program. This is SPAM and while I have no idea if this guy is legit or not, I highly recommend you do not respond to him. Any person with a half a brain can understand the poker odds page I have up, so this person most likely has a hidden agenda of some kind. Please report to me if you are getting this spam as well.

Party Poker Rakeback
Interesting developments on the Party Poker front, as it appears they are offering some type of VIP program that is equivalent to rake back. This is an invite only VIP program, so I would guess that they are only extending this to their high roller players; valued players that Party Poker probably doesn't want to lose. The program operates on the premise of playing a certain amount of hands per month or period in order to receive a bonus. This means it's not exactly rake back per se, but a similar equivalent depending on the raked hands required and the bonus amount.
I like to think this is interesting since Party Poker was adamant against any kind of rake back for a long time (even though they secretly allowed it through the back door), but is now doing exactly that. This doesn't hurt the affiliates however, which were one of the driving forces in disallowing rake back, since this caused player poaching, so this may be Party's answer to the whole mess. I would predict that the other sites are going to have to respond in kind quite soon, depending on how wide spread the VIP list is for this program.

Tightpoker Forum Email – Security Issue
I believe there may be a spammer or some kind of script that is trying to email all the members of the Tightpoker.com forum requesting that you open an attachment. Please be advised that this is not being sent by myself or the forum software, so please delete this email if you see it. I will never spam anything through the forum email system or request any personal information, so please be advised on this point.
In other news, I saw some advertisements for some texas hold'em games on the PlayStation and XBox called World Poker Champion or something like that. The digital renderings of the different poker celebs like Howard Lederer looked flat out creepy. I don't know who in their right mind wants to buy these games.

Happy Halloween and PokerStars Blog Tournament
Kinda late, but hope everyone had a happy Halloween! Not a whole lot of updates since last post, but the PokerStars blog tournament was a pretty neat event and I saw a lot of pretty big poker bloggers make it far. Real kudos to PokerStars for putting out a $25k freeroll.
PokerStars now also has deep stack tournaments, which is a interesting new game for us tournament types. This brings in a lot more skill (at the expense of time involved) into each game, which is good for increasing poker ROI, but possibly not so good for income per hour. I imagine this would be a hit at the smaller limits, very large limits and also those without large bankrolls. Haven't looked closely at them myself, but seems promising.
In Party Poker news, the skins fiasco has essentially turned the other sites into pretty unattractive poker sites. Empire Poker still has some decent low limit games, but the higher limits are all not too pretty. I haven't been a Multi Poker or Intertops player, so I don't know how those are, but I imagine about five times worse. Party also has pretty much taken a hard line against rakeback now, so there may even be a flux of big players away from Party period.
