2021 WSOP
The WSOP team want to make sure that the 2021 festival gets enough publicity, as they aim to make this year’ series among the biggest in poker history.
The live, in-person WSOP festival returns this fall after almost two years of taking a break due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2021 WSOP festival will take place at the Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas from September 30 to November 23 and will award 88 gold bracelets.
An additional 66 bracelets are up for grabs in the Online Series. The domestic leg, which is currently ongoing at WSOP.com, features 33 bracelets, while another 33 will be awarded on GGPoker during the international portion of the series which kicks off on August 1.
The domestic WSOP Online Series, which is open to players in New Jersey and Nevada, kicked off on WSOP.com on July 1. The schedule is divided into multiple sections such as Micro Madness, PLO Week, Double Bracelet Day, and High Roller. The final event of the series is a $500 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em event which has a guarantee of $1 million.
Among familiar names who were able to win a gold bracelet since the festival started on July 1 include Manig Loeser (Event #2: $600 NLH Monster Stack – $104,313), Ryan Leng (Event #13: $1,000 NLH Freezeout – $108,654), and Justin Saliba (Event #15: $5,300 NLH High Roller Freezeout – $253,800).
The latest winner in the ongoing series is Sang Lee who triumphed in Event #20: $3,200 NLH High Roller for $241,768.
WSOP.com is also running other events this month apart from the online bracelet series. The Summer Online Circuit Event and the Summer Online Championships are also currently underway, guaranteeing $1 million and $2 million respectively. Players may also take part in the $320 buy-in, $100K GTD Sunday tournament and participate in SNG and BLAST leaderboards.
Satellites & Freerolls Running on WSOP.com
There’s less than 15 tournaments left to play out before the online bracelet series on WSOP.com concludes on August 1, and the site will continue to run satellites to the remaining bracelet events until July 30. Buy-ins start at $1.
Players may also secure seats to online bracelet events without spending anything by taking part in freerolls running every Wednesday until July 28. Most importantly, WSOP.com is giving players the opportunity to score a ticket into the $10,000 WSOP Main Event at The Rio via satellites running every Sunday throughout July.
The good news is, players can use their Summer Reload bonus to take a shot at these satellites, so if you’re currently in New Jersey or Nevada, this is one promo you definitely don’t want to miss.
