The poker players of Melbourne are already familiar with the PokerPro electronic machines, which had enjoyed a great deal of popularity for some time at Crown Casino’s live poker room. Each player at a PokerPro cash game table is assigned an electronic screen on which they can view their hole cards, check statistics, and place bets. This gives an experience similar to that of playing online poker, but in a land-based poker room.

The advantages of these tables are many—the gaming action moves at top speed, the betting limits are low, and there is no chance of dealers making mistakes. The new PokerPro electronic cash game machines are therefore expected to attract a large number of players to PokerStars Live.

PokerStars Macau stated that it has installed six PokerPro tables enabling as many as sixty players to play games such as Pot Limit Omaha at betting limits of HK$5/HK$10 or HK$10/HK$20 and No Limit Hold’em at betting limits of HK$10/HK$20 or HK$20/HK$40. Games at higher stakes will be made available on demand.

PokerStars Macau will operate these games just like the usual live cash poker games. Players can register for these games either at the registration desk or manually with their City Club card. Poker tournament players are required to deposit funds into poker accounts associated with their City Club cards. Alternatively, they can purchase prepaid PokerPro cards from the cashier.

PokerStars Macau is celebrating the launch of its new PokerPro electronic cash game tables by giving away prizes worth more than HK$30,000 to players who try them out. Players interested in winning their share of these prizes only have to play for five hours at any PokerPro machine before the midnight of October 17, and they will receive a ticket to a PokerPro freeroll.

This freeroll will be played at 3:00 p.m. on Oct 20, and the winner will get an ACOP Warm up seat worth HK$25,000. The runner-up will get a ticket to an ACOP Warm up Mega Satellite worth HK$4,000. The players who finish third, fourth, and fifth will get free new ACOP hoodies.

Now that the new PokerPro machines have been installed, the number of cash game tables at PokerStars Live has become eight.
