The roster of the upcoming Party Poker Premier League IV is almost complete and three new big names in the poker world have agreed to take part in the upcoming televised tournament.  Team PokerStars Pros Daniel Negreanu and Vanessa Rousso have been added to the list of participants as has high stakes online cash game player David Benyamine.
The trio joins the likes of Tony G, Phil Hellmuth, Yevgeniy Timoshenko, reigning Party Poker Premier League III champion JC Tran, Luke “FullFlush1” Schwartz and Roland de Wolfe.  The event will also feature recently signed Team Party Poker member Kara Scott as the event’s television hostess.  The tournament is being held in conjunction with Matchroom Sport and will air in Europe later this year.
The tournament is going to take place February 12th-18th in Las Vegas at the M Resort and Casino.  Negreanu spilled the beans about the location in a recent blog post announcing his participation as well as his tournament schedule for winter and spring.  The Las Vegas casino is also advertising the event locally.  This is not the first TV show to come to the M Casino.  The popular Bravo TV program “Top Chef” filmed its most recent season there as well.
Eddie Hearn, the Managing Director of Matchroom Sport is more than pleased with the new additions to the Premier League line-up.  “We are delighted to welcome David into the Party Poker.com Premier League for the first time. We now only have one invite left in this year’s event and an announcement will be made within the next few days,” said Hearn in an official press release from Party Poker.  Benyamine is also excited about taking part and appears to have a new dedication to live tournament success in 2010.  “I’m looking to play lots of tournaments and to start it off with a victory in one of poker’s most prestigious events is top of my list right now,” Benyamine told Party Poker.
There are now nine players confirmed for the $100,000 buy-in event and only three open slots on the roster.  One of those seats will go to the Party Poker online qualifier who won a trip to Las Vegas via the site.  Those 16 qualifiers will square off against one another during the week prior to the event and the winner of a series of Sit & Gos will earn a seat in the Premier League.  There is also a $100,000 sponsorship contract up for grabs to a player hand-picked by Party Poker representatives to be a spokesperson for the poker room.
One of the remaining two seats will go to a Team Party Poker member who beats out his teammates in a Team Party qualifier.  The final seat appears to be reserved for a very special guest.  Party Poker revealed they will announce the identity of the final invitee in the next few days.  With that final announcement, the roster will be all but set and the 12 participating players can only sit back and wait for the big showdown at the M Resort.
