It’s not ready just yet, but sometime in early 2008, players on the Microgaming Poker Network (Poker Rewards, Doyle’s Room, etc.) will get to enjoy a new-look poker room.Attendees of the International Casino Exhibition January 22-24 will get the first peek at the beta version of the software update.

The changes should appeal to both the hard-core grinder and the casual player. For the grinders, there will be new features that will make multi-tabling easier, such as resizable tables. For the casual player (and the serious pro, for that matter), personal avatars, chat rooms, and social networks will make it more fun to play at Microgaming.

Microgaming introduced the first online casino software back in 1994.The company’s poker software was introduced in 2003.
