MPN recently released a press note to announce not only the change in name, but also the re-launching of a new website called thempn.eu. MPN, which was launched in 2003, comprises a number of reputed online poker rooms, which migrated to MPN after Interactive Game Technology (IGT) was shut down. The newest skins on MPN are NoiQ, Pokerihuone, and 24hPoker, which belong to iGame Malta, along with Betsafe, BetVictor, and Unibet.

Lydia Melton, head (network games) at Microgaming, said, “The re-brand of the network to MPN and the launch of the network website are both significant milestones for Microgaming poker. We are approaching our 10th year in operation, and we are stronger than ever before.”

PokerScout, the online traffic tracker, said that MPN occupies the eleventh rank with regard to poker player traffic worldwide. However, MPN might soon occupy the tenth position because a number of reputed online poker skins have recently joined it and the possibility of many more online poker rooms joining MPN is high.

According to a statement issued by the company in the recent past, MPN is holding talks with several major operators of online poker services. During the last 2 years, MPN completely re-designed its online poker software platform, introduced brand new HTML5 and Flash software clients, launched Blaze Poker, an online variant of high-speed poker, formed a board for network management, and adopted True Value, a new model of rake allocation. In addition, MPN will soon launch a brand new online poker lobby, while simultaneously launching several lucrative online poker promotions in collaboration with prominent online poker operators.

Melton said, “What we have done with all these changes is build the framework for a scalable and sustainable network. Now that the framework is in place, we are more flexible, resilient and adaptable to any changes that this turbulent industry can throw our way.”

If interested players visit the website, they can view a list of online poker skins that currently form part of the online poker network. The new website also comes with a useful feature—a separate section that will focus on a different poker skin every month and give valuable information about it. New players can take this information into consideration before deciding to register for real money play at that skin.
