Full Tilt Poker recently confirmed that it would launching the Micro Turbo Online Poker Series (MTOPS). This is a brand new poker tournament series that will focus on micro- and low-stakes. The new series is scheduled to take place between the 9th of June till the 23rd of June 2013.

The Micro Turbo Online Poker Series will comprise of 75 events and all 75 events will have a multi-entry format. The tournament is expected to bring in players in large numbers as there is over $2 million in guaranteed prizes that can be won. The main event that will take center stage will be the MTOPS Main Event, a no-limit hold’em tournament which has a $1 million guaranteed prize pool and entry into this is priced at $15 buy-in. The main event is scheduled to take place on the 23rd of June, around 16:00 ET and all players that take part will start with 10,000 in chips.

In a statement, Sarne Lightman, Full Tilt Poker’s Head of Marketing said “We always want to give our players the best value possible. MTOPS features a huge variety of games, big prize pools and some of the smallest buy-ins we have ever offered. The Multi-Entry Turbo Format means even the most time-constrained players will be able to compete in what will be one of our most exciting and affordable tournament series yet.”

The MTOPS tournament will also have a number of popular gaming formats including the latest Full Tilt Poker additions such as Courchevel, 5-Card Stud and Irish, where buy-ins start as little as $.50. One of the main reasons behind this series is to offer low buyins so that a number of players can participate. There is one special event (number 68) which players can buyin for just 100 Full Tilt Points (FTPs). There will also be satellites available to the MTOPS events for around six cents.

Based on brochures and promotions for the event, some of the other interesting events include event number 1, Sunday, June 9: A $10,000 prize pool and a $1.10 buyin in the MTOPS’ “New to the Game” NLHE series opener; event number 39, Sunday June 16: A $100,000 guarantee event, also NLHE, with a $5.50 buyin and event number 68, Saturday, June 22: The 100-FTP tourney, with a $10,000 guarantee. Players can buy in up to four times.
