On April 17, Lock Poker went offline and the poker gaming community felt that the online poker room had pulled down its shutters for good owing to its several problems, including delays in processing payouts.

According to a report on US Poker, players are not able to connect to the Lock Poker software despite the fact that LockCasino.eu and LockPoker.eu are still functioning. Since Lock Poker is now offline and has not explained the situation to its customers, many feel that the online poker room has shut down.

Lock Poker became infamous for its inability to process payouts to US customers. But players got alarmed when the online poker room began delaying payouts to players in the rest of the world too.

In 2010, players got really concerned when Lock Poker featured on Casinomeister’s list of rogue sites that did not process payouts quickly.

When the number of players who reported that Lock Poker had not paid winnings since 2012 began to rise, the site began facing liquidity issues too. Players became more agitated when posts appeared on Two Plus Two Forums that the site was treating its sponsored poker pros to expensive vacations. Enraged players criticized the site for spending heavily on its pros in spite of the fact that several of its customers were waiting for their winnings.

At this time, some of Lock Poker’s sponsored pros parted ways with the operator and some appeared on Two Plus Two forums urging enraged players to give Lock Poker some time to sort out its payment issues. Some of them even assured players that the management has kept players’ funds safely and would soon start paying out winnings.

Simultaneously, the sale and purchase of Lock Poker credits began to fall. The site continued to process smaller payouts till it stopped processing payouts completely in April 2014. Reportedly, Lock Poker owes its customers as much as $1 million, but US Poker feels that Lock Poker owes as much as $15 million.

Traffic to cash games and tournaments at Lock poker fell as people lost their faith in the online poker room. PokerScout.com reports that the site averaged just 10 players to its ring games in one week, peaking at 20 players during a 24-hour period.

Players who have funds in Lock Poker accounts may never see it again. Lock Poker is no longer offering live chat facilities and emails sent by players are not being delivered.
