has announced that it has inked a deal with software developer, Playwize, in which Playwize supply the poker room with a custom version of its three-dimensional poker software.

Playwize already uses the software for its own poker room, Pokerwize, but has decided to branch out and license the platform to other companies.Both Pokerwize and Ladbrokes are on the Microgaming Poker Network, and the new 3D software will integrate fully with Ladbrokes’ current poker offering.

Customers using the Playwize version can create their own characters, perform gestures at the table, including taunts, participate in voice chat, and see current hand odds.Animations and voice chat can only be seen and heard by other players using the Playwize software (denoted with a “z” in their player box).

The agreement will initially span two years.Ladbrokes will assist in the development costs of the customized software through a development fee and revenue sharing with Playwize.
