Ever heard about LetsGiveItASpin? It’s a casino streaming channel launched in 2015 which has grown in popularity over the years, with more than 90,000 subscribers on YouTube and over 61,000 followers on Twitch. The man behind the channel appeared on the first episode of High Stakes Poker Season 9 and we’ve gathered more details about his poker background.
Those who were able to catch the action on High Stakes Poker on 21 Feb might have noticed that there was one player who was playing far more aggressively than Phil Ivey. We’re talking about Kim Hultman, a casino streamer from Sweden who runs the channel we mentioned above.

Living The Dream

Hultman has been playing online casino and slots and streaming his games for around six years now but his experience in the gaming industry goes beyond that. Hultman now lives in Malta but he is originally from Sweden where he spent several years as a professional poker player.
Sharing his poker journey, Hultman said it all started online, at freeroll tournaments on the online poker room Everest Poker. Hultman said he played in multiple freeroll tournaments back in 2006/2007 and was able to build a decent bankroll out of that. He would win 5 cents from those tournaments and then used that to compete at bigger tables where there’s more money at stake.
During High Stakes Poker’s early years on the Game Show Network (GSN), Hultman was grinding online. He’s been an avid fan of the show since it launched back in 2006 and it was one of his biggest dreams to compete on the show.
Hultman played poker for a living until 2015 when he transitioned to the casino streaming world. Poker isn’t his main focus right now but his old dream was finally realized – he became part of High Stakes Poker Season 9, competing against some of the greatest players of all time.

High Stakes Poker Experience

The latest season of High Stakes Poker is dubbed “the best ever” by PokerGO’s Mori Eskandani. Season 9 features a star-studded line-up, bringing together several prominent names who appeared on the show during its early years, including Doyle Brunson, Phil Ivey, Daniel Negreanu, Tom Dwan, and Patrik Antonius.
These legends are joined by a number of newcomers such as Hultman and Southern California high stakes poker pro Garrett Adelstein.
During the first episode, Hultman was a standout for his aggressive play. He was more active in the game than Ivey who opted to fold most of the time. Hultman was involved in a couple of memorable hands against Daniel Negreanu and Ivey. His performance in those two hands wasn’t the best, but Hultman was just thrilled to be able to play against the two poker greats.
He described Ivey as the G.O.A.T and he said he was star-struck to play with him at one table, alongside other top pros.

Hultman operates in the same way as several poker streamers, only that his niche centers on online casino games and slot machines. In running LetsGiveItASpin, Hultman upholds his strong values; he plays using his own money and promotes responsible gaming which is one of the reasons why his channel continues to gain followers. His fun but genuine personality is his main attraction.
It’s a well-known fact that pursuing a career out of playing slots is a losing proposition most of the time, given that the house always has the advantage, with the machines sometimes compromised in the casino’s favor. While this is the case, Hultman still manages to make it big in this area and it helps a lot that he has enough knowledge in monetizing his social media presence.
While he is more focused on playing slot machines right now, Hultman said he might compete in more poker events in the future.
