GGPoker is getting ready to host another massive online poker festival! The online poker room will play host to a new World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit online series, which will run for nearly four weeks, kicking off on December 13. The operator has once again been chosen by the WSOP as its online partner, following the record-breaking success of their online events in 2020.
The upcoming series will feature a whopping $100 million guarantee, spread across hundreds of events, 18 of them will award a highly-coveted WSOPC Gold Ring!
Key Details
The festival will be called the WSOP Winter Online Circuit Series, and will run through to January 10, 2021. The Gold Ring events alone will account for more than $30 million of the total guaranteed prize pool.
The schedule will include events for all bankroll levels, featuring a wide array of buy-ins, formats and variants, with satellites also running throughout the series. Extra prizes and perks will also be given away via special promos, which include a $100,000 WSOPC Series Leaderboard.
Main Event Guarantees $10 Million
The main highlight of the series is easily the $1,700 buy-in Main Event, which features a mouth-watering $10 million guarantee! The tournament will adopt a phased structure, with Day 1s kicking off on January 4. Surviving players will then advance to Phase 2 on January 10 to play down to a final table. The finalists will battle it out for the lion’s share of the prize on January 16.
If the $1,700 buy-in is too big for you, then consider taking a shot at a mini version of the Main Event, which requires an entry fee of only $170. It will take place prior to the $1,700 buy-in Main Event and will give away a cool $2 million guarantee.
18 Ring Events
If you’re looking to add a WSOPC gold ring to your resume, you have 18 events to choose from, including the Main Event and the Mini Main Event. The other tournaments awarding a gold ring include a $50 buy-in, $1M GTD Big 50. The starting flights for this event will get underway on December 7. Day 2 takes place on December 13, during which a winner will be crowned.
There’s also a $10,300 buy-in Super MILLION$ High Roller for the high-stakes aficionados, which is also scheduled to run on December 13. The event will give away $5 million in guarantees to the top finishers.
The ring events line-up is also comprised of multiple Deepstack Bounty Hunters and Monster Stack events, alongside a few PLO tournaments, guaranteeing at least $500,000. Among the ring events with low buy-ins are the CHRISTMAS PLOSSUS and the NEW YEAR COLOSSUS, both costing $400 to enter, and featuring $1,225,000 and $2,021,000 in guarantees respectively.
You can still win your way into these huge events for a more affordable price by taking part in satellites running round the clock for as low as $5.
The final table of the key events will be livestreamed via GGPoker.TV. You may also catch the livestream on GGPoker’s official Twitch channel, with commentary from Randy “Nanonoko” Lew and Rotterdam.
WSOPC Winter Online Series Runs In Conjunction With WSOP Main Event
The WSOP Winter Online Circuit Series runs in conjunction with the 51st WSOP Main Event, with the international leg of the event now running on GGPoker. The tournament, which will be played as a hybrid online-live event, features a $10,000 buy-in.
The US portion of the event will begin on December 13 and will run on WSOP.com, exclusive for players based in Nevada and New Jersey. The finalists from both the US and international editions will play down to a winner via live action, hosted by the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, and the King’s Resort in Rozvadov, Czech Republic.
The winners from both legs will then meet face to face in a special Heads-Up match at The Rio to compete for the top prize, a WSOP gold bracelet, an extra $1,000,000, and the coveted 51st WSOP Main Event title.
