GGPoker is currently hosting the international leg of the 2021 WSOP Online Bracelet Series. The series is coming into its final leg which will conclude with the $5,000 Main Event. GGPoker has provided us with some info on the numbers that the series has done so far and the numbers are more than impressive.
Close To $54 Million Paid Out
A total of 23 events have concluded on GGPoker so far which has resulted in a total of over 86,000 player entries and $53,998,242 in combined prize money paid out. A total of 23 out of the 33 scheduled events have been completed and it appears that GGPoker is on the way to recording some massive numbers.
Stats for these 23 events show us that a total of 86,350 player registrations came in and the average buy-in was $3,204. The average total buy-in for each even was around $73,691 and the average prize money awarded per event was at $2,347,750. The total number of unique entries stood at 64,727 while the number of re-entries stood at 21,623.
These numbers meant nearly 75 percent of player registrations were unique and 25 percent were re-entries. Out of the 23 events played, 3 of them were Freezeout which meant no re-entries. The total rake collected across these 23 events amounted to $2,465,962 while the admin fee collected stood at $436,998.
The three Freezeout events were the $1,500 MONSTER STACK, $10,000 Heads-Up Championship and the $1,050 WSOP GGMasters. Out of the 23 events, 19 of them generated a prize pool in excess of seven figures. Nine out of these 23 tournaments came with a guaranteed prize pool and all nine events surpassed their guaranteed prize pool and were responsible for generating over $36 million in guaranteed prize money.
These numbers are surprising in one way because there is a lot of online poker action taking place as top operators like partypoker and PokerStars are running a number of exciting online poker festivals such as the WPT World Online Championship and the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP).
Action Expected To Heat Up
GGPoker expects the action to heat up during the next few days as the remaining 10 events play out. Four out of the remaining WSOP gold bracelet events come with a guarantee and one of them is the $5,000 Main Event. GGPoker decided to lower the guaranteed prize pool for the Main Event in 2021.
Last year, GGPoker ran the $5,000 Main Event with a $25 million guaranteed prize but decided to lower the guaranteed prize pool to $20 million in 2021 but maintain the $5,000 buy-in. GGPoker has announced that it has already received 1,739 player registrations for the Main Event that has generated $8,260,250.
