It becomes the single biggest-guaranteed tournament in online poker history. The event has a buy-in of $5,000, with multiple freezeout starting flights kicking off on August 16. Surviving players will then advance to Day 2, scheduled to take place on August 30, to play down to a champion.

Other events with sizeable guarantees on offer include The Opener, COLOSSUS, PLOSSUS, and Mini Main Event.
Apart from that, players are also given the opportunity to decide which four events will take up Events #47, 48, 49, and 50. The inclusion of “Players Choice” events is a first in WSOP history. There are just two slots left for this particular category, as the first two have already been decided via the “Most Popular” vote. The two remaining events will be chosen via the “Pros Vote”, and “Spin the Wheel”.
Unprecedented Media Coverage
The final tables of the 12 biggest events on the schedule will be brought to spectators at home via streaming by GGPoker.TV and Poker Central. The broadcast kicks off on July 23 during the final table of the $5,000 buy-in Pot Limit Omaha Championship.

WSOP 2020 Online Leaderboard
Players will also be given the chance to boost their winnings via a leaderboard race which will award three extra trophies to the top finishers. The Leaderboard winner will receive a Pure Gold Mouse, while the 2nd to 5th places will each walk away with a Pure Gold Card. Meanwhile, the player who rules in the Asia time zone events will be declared as Asia Player of the Year series and will win Pure Gold Dragon.
Leaderboard points will be awarded based on this formula: f*sqrt(Prize pool/k), where “k” represents the finishing position, and “f” is the point gained based on the place of finish, ie top, final table, in the money, bubble.
Record-Breaking, Historic
By partnering with GGPoker, the WSOP is for the first time giving non-American players the chance to chase for a bracelet. Originally, the live festival is exclusive only for those based in the US, while the online bracelet events are only for people playing from Nevada and New Jersey.
The massive festival will commence on WSOP.com on July 1. The online platform will host a total of 31 online bracelet events for the entire month. With huge guarantees on offer, the online festival is set to become one of the largest online poker tournament series in history.
It is expected to attract a huge turnout, with GGPoker also running more affordable events in the run-up to the massive festival. Additionally, players can qualify for the big events for a cheaper price by taking a shot at tons of satellites taking place starting his July. This means you can still win big regardless of your bankroll!
