France has recently opened up its gates to online poker sites, allowing them to expand their operations in the country. As part of their plan to regulate gambling, the French authorities have seen it fit to grant operating licenses to several online poker sites. Titan Poker is one of the more recent enterprises to be awarded a French operating license by ARJEL or Autorite De Regulation Des Jeux En Ligne, the country’s gambling regulatory organization, and it has already established its French portal which is doing well according to reports.
The new Titan Poker French site is operating legally in France, which means more revenue for Titan now that it has expanded its gaming operations more effectively in Europe. As of now, the Titan Poker French site which uses the web address is up and already opened for business. They have a welcome note to new players that states, “We are pleased to announce the imminent opening of the new flagship site for online games. On 18 November 2010, the Regulatory Authority of online games has issued an approval for poker.”
Benjamin Issembert, the President of the Nation Traffic SAS discussed the new French division of Titan poker and appeared very happy about the new license. “Getting our poker license will be a new stage in the process of expanding competition in the French market for gambling and Internet gambling,” he said.
Issembert also commented on what he believed to be the scope of the site’s operation. “With over ten years of experience in the industry, we are confident beyond any shadow of a doubt that we will succeed in competing with the current leaders in the French poker market and will hold a place in the heart of French players,” he said.
Titan Poker, is reputed to be one of the top ten poker sites in the world and is run on Playtech’s I poker network. The new French division is also expected to boost sales and create more traffic for the French iPoker network, which at present is not very large.
The French Titan poker site also added a note to its existing players on its new site, the “Former players will receive excellent conditions for resuming their activity on while new members will receive particularly lucrative promotional offers.
