The Open Face Chinese (OFC) Poker Live World Championship, the first event of its kind in poker tournament history, will be played at Prague in the Czech Republic from December 8 to December 10, 2014.
The event will comprise a €1,000 buy-in Main Event, which will be played over two days; a last-minute satellite qualifier with free entries to the Main Event as a guaranteed prize; and a $10,000 high-roller, re-entry tournament that will be played on December 8.

A TonyBet Poker representative said: “We have decided to run an ambitious €10K High Roller event as per request from our top regulars, and we are expecting this tournament to draw a lot of big names from the poker community. It should become the open-face Chinese poker catwalk both in terms of player names and quality of the game.”
The schedule includes the €10,000 buy-in OFC Pineapple high-roller tournament with re-entries and the €120 buy-in Last Minute Satellite to the Main Event, both of which will be played on December 8; Day 1 of the Main Event, an OFC Pineapple Re-entry tournament, which will be played on December 9; and the last day of the Main Event, which will be played on December 10.
The championship tournament will be played at the Corinthia Hotel’s King Casino in Prague. It is the brainchild of Tony G., an entrepreneur based in Lithuania and European Parliament member, who launched TonyBet Poker as “a present for the poker community.” TonyBet Poker is now heavily populated with fans of Open Face Chinese Poker. A TonyBet representative said: “The Championship will celebrate the incredible year that we had at TonyBet Poker, and we will make sure there’s plenty of action for our players.”
In addition to the above-mentioned events, the schedule of the championship will include several “OFC cash games, as well as loads of presents and nice surprises for the players who will participate.”
The event is expected to attract a huge player field as it will coincide with the PokerStars Prague Poker Festival and the World Poker Tour National is scheduled to start just a few days after it concludes. These three events are expected to convert the capital of the Czech Republic into a poker center throughout December.
Speaking about OFC, a TonyBet Poker representative said that it is an exciting game that is rapidly becoming popular. Currently, satellites to the Main Event are being held daily at TonyBet Poker.
