The Poker All Time Money List is a great list to be on, and after over a month of hanging around in third place on the Poker All Time Money List, Erik Seidel, has moved to second place. Seidel, who is a pro player from the US has now won again against Phil Ivey, who was in the second place, when he took the title at the Los Angeles Poker Classic High Roller Event for $144570.
Erik Seidel was recently included into the Poker Hall of Fame and he was around $57000 behind Phil Ivey on $13,859,944 of live tournament winnings. After last night’s victory in Los Angeles, Erik Seidel is now a proud holder of $13,947,297 and he now just lacks $168,895 in funds in comparison to Daniel Negreanu, who is on the top of the list.
Erik Seidel has won the WSOP bracelet eight times and he has always been a major player in the game of poker but he has now managed to beat his own high-set standards in 2011. At an interview Erik Seidel had accepted that he likes playing tournaments as compared to cash games but there is also a downside to it. Erik Seidel says that although it is a big pool and it is easy to go through several thousand dollars while playing tournaments, since the pool is so widespread, most of the times there is a lag phase between winnings.
Whatever the case maybe, Erik Seidel would definitely be happy with himself for having won $3,592,284 in winnings of five final tables along with a couple of the tournament wins that includes the Aussie Millions $250k Super High Roller with a total of $2,489,747. After winning that large sum, Erik Seidel admitted that he was extremely pleased to win this amazing and elite event especially since the entry fee was high, and that he is lucky to be having a great year so far.
Erik Seidel is 51 years old and hails from Las Vegas, and with his latest huge win of $25k at the Los Angeles Poker Classic High Roller Event, this New Year 2011 seems to be bringing him lots of luck and money for his 52nd birthday this year. It is just a matter of time maybe before he conquers the number one position in the list over the next few months.
